Wonderfully cute bookstore owned by a very local couple.

Excellent selection of multicultural kids books in both English and Spanish. I typically look for books about other countries or languages, and they had one called Say My Name that was names in 6 different languages. I ended up buying a book about little people (like the Borrowers), and talking critters.

Super helpful! I asked for a cookbook by a local author or restaurant, and they immediately pointed me to one that was just located down the street.

5+ star for adorableness, local vibes, and of course, books ?

I stumbled on this lovely little bookstore while visiting St. Helena from my home in Marin yesterday, and had such a nice experience there. The owner (I think) clearly had a depth of knowledge about books in general, and about the specific ones in her store. She answered my questions very helpfully, and we had a wonderful conversation about books, reading habits, women writers, and more. The selection of books is excellent, especially for a small store.
