We absolutely loved this location. No frills, but it made life easier for the four days we were there for adventure. Check in was easy, wonderful shady spot with easy back in. We enjoyed the cows in the pasture. The site is clean and enjoyable and we plan on coming back soon! The steam train was so awesome to hear through the day when we were there and the Durango hot springs are across the street and so worth the visit! We are ver glad we chose this location. Price was perfect and we felt welcomed and could come and go without fuss.

Perfect launch location for activities in Durango and Silverton. The park is located directly across the street from the hot spring and spa, and a very nice grocery, and hardware store are across the highway. The park layout is a bit untraditional as some sites require motor coaches to pull in forward which places your door facing your neighbor if they are in a trailer. Fortunately we had a very nice gentleman next to us. Laundry was great, and there is also a television, DVD assortment, and small library present.

Highway noise is present during the day, but quickly quiets down after dark. The sites would benefit from more frequent manicuring of the grass and small branches.

Overall, staff was great and it was a good experience.

Our summer here in Durango has been amazing. We’ve stayed at Westerly for weeks on and off again and keep coming back because its location is so damn convenient. We have the Hot Springs within 50 feet. There’s an ACE hardware and a grocery store right across the road. And an easy 10 minute drive to downtown Durango or 15 minutes to Purgatory. Fun people, nice staff, lots of regulars. Do yourself a favor and book your next RV/travel trailer trip here.

Stayed 4 nights. The place was overgrown with weeds. Never ever saw any staff. We were sent our site info by email. Our rig faced two other rigs, and they opened up onto us as well. No privacy, so we didnt sit out. We had no picnic table. Everyone else did. The wifi went in and out constantly. Good thing we were on the go. I would not recommend. The only positive was it was directly across the street from Durango Hot Springs.

I didn’t stay. But I enjoyed a meet and greet with some friends. They had a Riverview spot and a pool. Had a great time with recommend it to anyone traveling through Southwest Colorado.

We stayed here at the WYLD Glass Caves.
This unit is located in the RV park. It is across the street from the Durango Hot Springs and Spa. We stayed in the Queen-sized unit. I don’t recommend it.The King-size is the one to rent because it has more space.

For the money, you can rent a much bigger space in an area bed and breakfast or inn. While I love the modern look of the interiors the lack of space to put anything down is rough. Also there isn’t any water pressure and the wifi is slow.

This was my first solo trip out in 18 years. I took the RV and jeep and escaped to Durango. This campsite is just a few miles north of town, but felt like the heartbeat of this trip. Flat campsites, quiet atmosphere. Across the street from an incredible mineral spa. Easy access to hiking and jeep adventure. Highly recommended.
