Can’t believe I’ve lived in Pasadena for two years and only just visited Vroman’s Bookstore on Colorado Boulevard!

This place is so much more than just a bookstore—it has an incredible selection of books, a fantastic variety of retail items, and even a bar serving spirits and beer alongside a cozy coffee shop.

Beyond the books, the merchandise selection is impressive. From cozy slippers and beautiful stationery to unique home goods and thoughtful gifts, there’s truly something for everyone. I was even able to find vegan incense! The layout is well-organized with great signage, making it easy to browse and discover new finds.

Although they didn’t have the book I was looking for in stock, ordering it was a breeze, and I can pick it up in about a week. This is definitely a must-visit spot for book lovers, shoppers, and anyone looking for a unique experience. I’ll be back for sure!

Great book store. Lots of different options, topics and more. They don’t just sell books but they have pens, a whole kids section either interactive materials, and some other interesting things. Great coffee shop right there. Great location and easy to find what you want.

I went to Vroman’s to pick up a signed copy of Maria Bamford and her husband Scott’s new book. I was sad that I couldn’t attend the event but they saved me a copy since I had bought a ticket. The bookstore was spacious and the staff was super friendly. I am obsessed tmwith the selection of gifts including cat themed items and the Playmobile selection. I’d definitely go back now it’s on my radar.

Vromans is a great bookstore and it's fun to browse. They have gifts and different departments like children's, gardening, art etc. I attended a booking signing event which was very enjoyable. The author, Jesse Katz wrote "Rent Collectors". Jesse was a very engaging speaker. His book is a very good read!

Awesome variety of books and gifts.. we had a perfect afternoon free parking nearby, coffee available, and a place for the kids; wonderful recommendations.. what more could you want? 😊

Everything my little bookworm heart desires. Excellent selection, great atmosphere, and how surprised was I to find a section solely for pens and stationery- and I don’t mean your usual Barnes & Noble claptrap; they have an excellent selection of fountain pens and inks, and some great journals and notebooks.

If you’re in the area, definitely make time to stop in and spend a few hours.

Amazing bookstore with great collections of books, stationary , magazine and they even have cafe and bars. Make sure you check them out if you are in Pasadena.

Great selection of books, pens, and stationary, with a bonus home decor section upstairs,and lots of magazines and publications outside. There's even a pretty decent selection of board games here, too. This place has a great vibe and atmosphere, and is clean and well-kept every time I visit. The staff is extremely helpful, friendly, and seemingly excited that you're in their store, regardless of the department, which is a great bonus.

The store has a cafe inside of it called The 1894 which serves wine, beer, and small snacks. Again, the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, and everything I've had from here tastes great and is priced fairly.

As far as the stationary section goes, they carry a bunch of fountain pens, bottled inks, and even have a neat little wax seal section, which are all my personal favorite parts of the store. I've been visiting on a weekly (almost daily) basis and Michael has been hugely helpful -- he really knows what he's talking about and has made some great recommendations, but is does everyone else in the store.

Overall, this is just a really great place to visit if you haven't already -- come check it out and help them stay in business!
