I stopped by this Vons today because it was on the way to visit my wife grandparents grave and we wanted to get them flowers. So I remember there was this Vons on the way so it was convenient for us. I found parking easily right in the front and walked inside. They have the flowers at the entrance and today they had a lot out on display. My wife choose the one she like the most and I went to pay for it at the self checkout. The employee working the self checkout was polite with us and asked if we needed any help, I told him no because we were just getting the flowers.

Terrible system for their restroom usage. I asked where it was located and the woman told me the isle and she would call someone with the key.
5 minutes (full 5 non exaggeration) I got annoyed and called the store. That time someone came immediately. Having to wait was completely unacceptable! (For their people to come). Have it open to the public and checked regularly!
Store was pretty well stocked, and employees (that I saw, not many were visible at all) were nice.

Weird bathrooms. Definitely glad I'm not wheelchair bound trying to access them. Had about a foot and a half of access space as the employee granted me access to the locked bathroom.

Store seemed ok, but I didn't buy anything after that traumatic experience shared with my 8 year old daughter...

I tried out Vons' online shopping with curbside pickup at the Chapman location in Garden Grove for approximately 6 months.

Pro: Vons has a simple and easy-to-navigate app that is seamless and clean. Honestly my favorite app

Con: this location does not maintain inventory on its app portal.

If it's on ad your best bet is to shop in-store. I had been told they were out of stock only to walk in and find this was not the case.

Example: Superbowl ad

12pk sodas buy 2, get 3 free
In stock on the app
Was told by the on-duty manager on pickup they were out of stock

I received 2 out of 5 and was charged FULL price (upcharged) and didn't receive the 3 free

Same thing with chips in the ad

Told on pickup they were out of stock

Same with hotdogs

In stock on the app told out of stock

SUPERBOWL SUNDAY NO HOTDOGS

It was the hotdogs that I found hard to believe they were out of stock

I drove back to Vons and walked the store aisles myself. (See photos below)

I found the manager, who happened to be the same person who did my curbside pickup, we discussed the issue as we walked over to the soda aisle, the chips, and the hotdog aisle. I still can't understand why. I have always been gracious and appreciative every time.

She continued to gaslight me saying in the 35 minutes of being checked out and now, the soda vendor, the potato chip vendor, and the hotdog vendor came and restocked these items.

So the soda guy came after I checked out 35 minutes ago and restocked only the few that I had ordered and nothing else?

She told me that my receipt would be adjusted to reflect the sale price and credit my account accordingly as well as credit the enchilada I returned to her. She told me that it could take up to 2 days to process the adjustments.

It's been 10 days and I have yet to receive the credit.

I left the store in tears

The manager could have easily fulfilled the rest of my order and sent me on my way.  I was not asking or expecting anything more than what I ordered and was in fact in stock.

In the end, the manager did not even try to rectify this and she still has my sodas, chips, enchilada sauce, and hotdogs that I paid for

Online orders will receive the least desirable produce ?

Suggestion: Provide the same quality service, prices, and grocery to your online customers as you do your in-store customers.

If we are using the Vons app to shop for groceries, it's not because we're lazy (it takes 2xs longer to shop via the app) we most likely are going through something that makes in-store shopping difficult.

The incompetence and bigotry is unfathomable. Besides people following me around, I had to grab more items and told Megan the cashier that I'll be back and to please hold them for me. She said "ok, I'll put it by my register". I get back and guess what Megan had them do....put the items back. I don't blame her....despite the 10x magnification on her glasses...she appears to be vapid.

If you need money SUE THIS PLACE, bathroom sign points to freezers and janitors close. This place is located in CALIFORNIA and you don’t have proper locations for a restroom, anyone disabled that has the time to sue this is your bread and butter. Disaster on Haster is what this place is called by all Safeway employees and it shows. I asked someone who definitely work in the meat department about a restroom and he pointed me to the sign, well the sign LEADS TO NO WHERE ! Go down the street to target at least they care somewhat there.

I visited Vons on Valentine's day to buy my co worker flowers and some items we needed for our celebration onsite at the office. They had plenty of choices for food, snacks and valentine's gifts. #local #groceriestore #anaheim

Much more expensive than competitors in the area. The meat dept is a joke. Never carry any ad items. Even Target down the street with better price and selection.
