The first time I attempted to go to this bookstore I was told by someone next to me in the parking lot that there’s a sign on the door that says “employees only,” so I left. When I returned three weeks later, the sign was still there BUT there was also a sign that had an arrow pointing to the right for books and coffee. So I followed the sign to find out that the actual bookstore is NOT on the left of this tiny building but the right, and you wouldn’t really know it.

This is a cute, albeit a store with a very limited selection. I can’t vouch for the coffee or the food because I didn’t partake. While this store does offer the popular titles, with so much empty shelf space, I think this place could definitely fill up those shelves accordingly! You’d really have to know what you want before shopping here or have them order books online for you if you decide to support this local bookstore.

I have given a review for Verb Bookstore and Cafe about a year ago when they were still Story Coffeehouse, and man, can I just say that I am much happier with how they are now. The drinks are phenomenal, I really recommend Tea Kill a Mockingbird off their summer menu. Not only that, but their food is amazing! I typically always get the Avocado Hummus Toast, but their other options are just as good. What really draws me in is the overall atmosphere of this place. It definitely feels like a third place someone can rely on. What's even better is how queer friendly it is! Love coming in here when I can, and I hope you do too!

Verb Bookstore is definitely my favorite spot in town! They have the friendliest staff (with the best book recommendations), the best avocado toasts and tea drinks, and, of course, the loveliest book club every other month. I'm so glad to live in a community with such a thoughtful, inclusive space like Verb. Make sure to stop by if you're in town; you won't be disappointed!

What a delightful space! I was visiting from out of town, and loved finding this charming, lovely, inviting bookshop and cafe! The cafe’s selection of drinks and food was wonderful (and as a vegan, I appreciated having great options here!) The toasts and iced tea I tried were both fantastic.

And the bookshop is delightful! It is a beautiful and pleasant space to spend time in, with comfy couches and chairs, and nice tables if you are there to work. The book selection is curated and thoughtful, and I also appreciated the well-chosen array of cute and locally made gifts like bookmarks, lip balm, plants, etc. It was great to see the gift section well-stocked with queer-affirming stickers and pins, too. (I bought so many rainbow cat and tarot stickers, and I regret nothing!) I loved that they had a “blind date with a book” option (I got a real treasure for only $5!), and I also picked up a beautiful tarot deck from their small but great witchy section. A wonderful spot if you are looking for your next read, and/or a thoughtful gift.

The staff was all very friendly and helpful, and the space is clearly a beloved hangout for folks in the area—and for good reason! This bookshop and cafe are real gems!

Very cool little bookstore/coffee shop! Eclectic selection of books, cute decor, they will order books for you, prices are very reasonable and the employees are extremely nice and helpful! You can also get gift cards for the store, I went in because, I got one for Christmas.

Lovely small bookshop with friendly and knowledgeable staff! They keep a nice variety in stock and can order anything else you want. The coffee is so, so good. HIGHLY recommend this delightful spot!
