Two Friends Bookstore + Cafe

Great selection of books, decent prices. Yes, most of it is priced at retail but this is what bookstores have to do these days to make it in the world of Internet shopping. I hope you're supporting your #LocalBookstore! Several different sections of the store have a pretty good variety of books, with a lot of newer prints and multiple copies of them. I found an interesting classic that I'm sure my daughter read in school and hasn't picked it up since. Hooray, gift!

Two Friends is a true gift to the community – one of my happy, peaceful spots in the region. I live in Rogers and can get their easily by bike (mostly trail!) or car, and however I get myself there, I'm always glad that I did. They have a beautifully curated selection of books across genres with lots of staff favorites highlighted throughout the store to help you find something new or unexpected. They host and support local authors, keep an excellent selection of BIPOC authors, are always curious and eager to learn about new authors or titles they should carry and are super jazzed to place a special or preorder for you. They are also one of my go-to friend-date or self-date spots with their delicious grab-and-go (or stay) sandwiches and cookies including a VEGAN option for both. They have comfy counter space if you need to whip out a screen and get a little work done. I recommend sitting and staying a while with a lemongrass tea, mocktail or glass of wine on their sweet patio or comfy, naturally-lit cafe area. Very nice small book store with an excellent collection of adult and children’s books. I loved the hand written book reviews they had up like post it notes on the shelves. They serve coffee and light lunches with seating inside and outside. I had a beet and sweet potato toasted baguette that was amazing and my friend had a turkey baguette which she said was delicious. It has a lovely friendly atmosphere and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a book, want ideas for new reads or maybe for a kids birthday present.

Friendly staff, a cozy bookshop with a great selection of picks for any reader. Nice sammiches and coffee selection. I reserved a book for in-store pickup on their site, and it was as easy as could be.

Dropped by to get some coffee and pastries. The plates the pastries were served on were super cute and our iced lattes were yummy! They’ve got oat milk for the non dairy girlies. Cool selection of books. Great vibes.

I really love the atmosphere here. I’m from out of state and very glad I found this place. It’s a cool shop where you can grab a drink, grab a book, sit back and just read. It’s a very beautiful place when it’s sunny and when it’s rainy. Highly recommended for folks who want to just be off the radar for a bit.

Did it take a wacky bunch of weirdos to get me back into reading? Yes. Do I regret the kindness they have shown me every time I pick up a book? Absolutely Not. I wanted to shout out some people like Morgan or Blake but realized the entire staff is so amazing and kind. I wouldnt say I have "social anxiety" when it comes to purchasing books, BUT, reading just seems like one of those hobbies people are weird about. So, i find solace coming here and knowing they actually want me to read something new; while still maintaining their amazing amount of kindness. Also, my grammar sucks. sue me. (dont actually i dont have money)
