the town of malvern is a wonderful, and quiet place to live. wonderful living as a matter of fact if you can get past the fact that the water department is robbing its customers. i have never in my life been charged a fee of 125 to have water connected. that is not a deposit they say. it cost 125 dollars to have someone come out and turn on a switch. not to mention if you move within the city of malvern and they have to transfer your water its another 125 dol. that is highway robbery, i can understand a deposit so that if you leave behind a water bill they deduct the bill and refund the rest of your money but to charge people that is a rediculous amount.

I have been in Malvern since 1985. Sure we have our small town issues. But it is a great place to live and Mrs. Francis at the Town hall is a very trustworthy servant of our community. I encourage you if you want to move here with your family to do so. The Slocomb Schools have also been great for our children who are now grown and Alabama Power is reasonable.

My experience living in Malvern has been positive. It’s my home now and the people don’t treat me like a stranger and genuinely try to help anyone when they can. I love working with our small town. Try to find the good and it’s always close by in Malvern.

The lady, and I use that turn lightly, is rude and disrespectful each and every time I go to pay my bill. She takes almost 3 hour lunches every day and we are paying her to. They shut my water off for non payment of 30$, had to pay a reinstatement charge. What I don't get is why the hell I had to pay 125$ for a deposit to get it turned on if they shut it of for 30$ and made me pay 50$ more to turn it on. What was the flippin deposit for? She has yelled at me, slammed the door in my face, refused to take my payment, then she threatened to mace me bercause I yelled right back. All of the people I know that pays here have said she is crude and mean to them also. Perhaps if more people complain then there will be a change.

Town of malvern water department is a joke. They never seem to be at the office. When i first moved here i went up there 3 different times to get my water turned on....at this point i had to leave a note on the door for them to please call me so i could get service. And when i ask a question they seem like it is a incovenice to them that they have to talk to me. Nice place to live very quite just wish the local government was not so corrupt.

Where is the tax payers money going? It's not to the roads. This is a very corrupt place that needs an investigation into finances.
