Excellent local business if you are looking for skateboard and snowboard gear and apparel in general. The owner of the shop, Chris has impeccable knowledge in board sports, along with mountain bikes. I would recommend you talk to him if you want great service and in depth knowledge. This skate shop offers a friendly atmosphere and is hands on, unlike bigger stores who seem to not know what they are talking about or don’t care about the customer experience.

I just wanted to let Kobe know how much I appreciated his outstanding service! It’s refreshing to go into a store and have someone WANT to help you get what you need. I hope the manager/owner appreciate what they have as an employee. Kobe did an amazing job setting me up with a new skateboard for my son by bringing back that old school skate shop feel that is missing from most skate shops nowadays! Thanks again Kobe!!!

Super helpful customer service! People complain about the prices and how online is cheaper... OF COURSE IT IS! You are paying for awesome customer service and for location. I love the crew and brands here, as well as the local owned vibe. The are always willing to help someone out and even offer some sweet discounts. Best board shop in eastern Idaho.

Worst customer service I have had in town hands down. Do not purchase from them. I bought my second $200 board from them 2 days ago. Rode it from the mall doors to my car, got it home and noticed that the grip tape on the top of the board was all bubbled up. The store had closed by the time I got home and I had to work the next 2 days so was unable to take back until Saturday morning. All I asked for was an exchange for a new board. I have receipt in hand and business would not do this. Spoke with manager/ (maybe owner) over the phone who continued to refuse to either give me my money back or exchange the board. The only reason I purchased from them was because I support local businesses, could buy online cheaper and turns out with better customer service. If businesses want to be able to stay in business they really need to be able to offer customer service, at least. I have never seen a business not honor a defective product in New condition in the first 3 days of purchase ever. I could see if this was damage I could have caused but it was obvious that the tape had been installed wrong, and riding it would definitely tear the bubbled spots. Which is why I wanted replacement. I was originally told I could return board within 30 day without damage to the board which there wasn't besides the defect discussed. Wouldn't hold up to their own return policy. Eventually after having to argue repeatedly with the owner they agreed to swap the deck out leaving me with the same wheels. I was fine with this since the wheels are brand new just a little dust on them. I highly recommend if you are wanting to purchase locally go to Idaho Mountain Trading, or really anywhere else. I was completely floored by the complete lack of all customer service. Never had worse.

In response to your response(owner of the store) , you never offered to replace the brand new purchased board, never used except to ride 10 feet to my car (which I'm sure every board you have has been stood on in the stoor) . I had to argue to even get this to happen. Again that is all I asked for from the beginning. Never wanted a refund until you would not replace the new defective board I purchased. Again brand new in New condition with no wear to it. I could have lied and said I didn't ride it to my car from the door of the mall, but was trying to by honest and fair. Had to argue with you to get the replacement, that is all I wanted. Again your response proves your manipulation and lack of customer service, you write lying about the transaction. There was no confusion, you did not want to replace the brand new defective board, and stated you would not. As others have stated the customer service is great when they are taking your money, just not when backing up the product sold. I recommend buying somewhere they stand behind the product they sell. I was very nice initially and unfortunately anyone who would just take no for an answer would have been taken advantage of. Makes me worry for the young kids that are purchasing from this store.

I stopped at another snowboard place in town and no one was interested in helping me. As soon as I arrived at The Nayborhood, I was greeted and welcomed. The salesman was very informative and helpful. He went over the different snowboard options, helping me pick the right board. I was really happy with my experience. I will definitely be back!
