While wandering around State Street on recent visit to SB, we happened upon The Crafter's Library and wow, what an amazing addition to downtown SB! It's billed as a co-working craft space, but it's soooo much more. The space is bright & beautiful, creatively laid out and so much fun to explore. We ended up finding so many cool crafty gifts for our grandkids. I only wish I lived closer to take classes here!

What a perfect community space. The art of zen doodling class was a great way to unwind with friends after work. The photos attached are examples of techniques we learned. The owner's sweet pup hung out by our feet and we all thoroughly enjoyed giving him skritches. Such a calm, easy-going, friendly dog. I'm looking forward to more classes and workshops!!

The Crafter’s Library is a treasure for artists and crafters; a great destination for locals and visitors alike. There is something here for anyone who wants to express themselves creatively. Whatever your interest might be, there is a kit, a class, supplies, and advice from the knowledgeable staff to help you succeed. The opportunity to use specialized equipment that would be so expensive to purchase for the home is fantastic. They have a well-curated selection of gifts as well. On top of that, the store is a treat to behold, bright and airy, with delightful splashes of colorful art supplies.

It is the most fabulous store for crafters with a wonderful proprietor. Thank you for all you do, Andrew and Achilles. It was our extreme pleasure to meet you both.

I love this place! They always have the best classes and the friendliest staff. I took a jewelry making class and I made the coolest ring. I didn’t even realize I could make something so beautiful so easily. I definitely look forward to taking more classes in the future!

In a sea of taco bars, pizza joints, nightclubs and pool halls. Crafters Library is a welcome addition to our little community, reminding us all that we need to put down our phones and use our hands a little more to enrich our lives and giving parents an opportunity to bond with their children through craft, art and other activities. The owner is incredibly passionate about his shop and his customers, and I highly recommend that if you have not been here to check it out that you do so.

PS. His puppy, Achilles is so friendly with everyone including small children.

Terrifying Experience - Not a Child-Friendly Store

I had an absolutely horrifying experience at this store. While shopping with my two toddlers, the store owner's large German Shepherd suddenly lunged at my children, barking aggressively and coming dangerously close to attacking them—completely unprovoked. The dog was not on a leash and was left unattended, creating an incredibly unsafe environment.

When I confronted the store employee about the situation, instead of apologizing, she shockingly responded with, "Your children have a problem," implying that my children's fear was somehow their fault. This lack of empathy and basic customer service was appalling. My kids were left screaming, terrified, and in tears, and the staff did nothing to reassure or assist us.

This store is clearly not a safe or welcoming place for families with children. Between the aggressive dog and the equally aggressive attitude of the staff, I cannot in good conscience recommend this store to anyone—especially those with young kids. Avoid this place if you value your children's safety.

A gem! So much to see and do in this beautiful store. We haven’t tried the classes but we would like to in the future. The owner is knowledgeable, kind and helpful. We just wish we lived closer so we could go more often!
