I was expecting to come here and find prices high and a clicky environment. The people here are welcoming, knowledgeable and humble. There are some pretty expensive things here, but you do not have to spend alot of money to get into this. My prime example is that waxed, linen thread is pretty expensive on Amazon, but I was able to buy smaller quantities for way under what I would have paid online - which is great because now I have the option to try out some repairs for practically nothing and I have the three most common colors used. They have exotic leathers and lots of supplies for everyone from the one-time fix person to the professional. This is a great store with a welcoming attitude!

I love Tandy and have been a long-time customer. Always good selection and prices, but customer service is just nonexistent. Walked in today and received no greeting or acknowledgment we came in. I'm sad to see how little folks seem to care these days. l hope for better in the future, guys!

I went to Tandy leather knowing what I was making, just not exactly everything I needed. Excellent service started with a phone call to the store and continued with my visit to the store. Will helped me find everything I needed. He was very patient with my beginner questions and confusion, explaining why I needed this I or that and showing me how to use the tools. Always careful to say if I wanted this or that, never pushy or overbearing. I truly appreciate the awesome customer service and advice. I will definitely be back! They have so much great stuff and I’m totally hooked!

Such an awesome store with so many cool things, literally everything you need for working with leather. The guy who I think was the owner is extremely helpful, nice and very polite. I only bought a basic hole punch buy I had a great time there and learned alot, I will be back for more tools and leather as I need them.

This I MUST write ! Everyone needs to know, Tandy Leather on Orchard St., in Boise, ID is AWESOME !

I came in needing a new belt, my old one of 20 years badly needed replacement. I had shopped everywhere, and could not find anything I remotely liked to buy ready made. I came into Tandy's and met up with Will, and he sat me up. I knew nothing about leather working. He helped me, showed me, encouraged me and 2 days later I have a BEAUTIFUL new belt. And I could not believe the price.

The boss lady that is always there is super rude. Not friendly at all, lucky they are the only nearby store otherwise I would go elsewhere.
