This was our first time ordering from StemFinity and unfortunately, it will be our LAST. The first three photos are what we ordered. The rest of the photos are what we actually received. Be careful when ordering from this company because you will have a hard time getting a refund or anything replaced. My experience is very consistent with other parents that have ordered from them recently.

Unfortunately, the STEM Sports kit we ordered was not what we expected at all. What we received looks very different from the website listing. It was not a monthly subscription and they sent the wrong kit (grades 6-8). It also stated shipping was already calculated in the cost of the kit but we still had to pay $76 in shipping. All of the items were not in individual boxes as their website shows or organized in any manner with the curriculum. Everything was thrown loosely into one big box with several boxes being crushed. There were dirty balloons throughout the box and some of the items appeared used/dirty. Three of the five balls couldn’t be inflated due to the ball valves not being present or accessible. The hand pump was also already opened. The curriculum lessons also appeared to be resealed as well. I sent photos to Emma P. at StemFinity and explained all of this to her.

I understand that their company has several vendors and oversight can be difficult when they process orders. However what we received doesn’t appear to be worth the $300 plus extra $76 in shipping. We homeschool our special needs son and do our best to find creative ways to educate him. He was very excited to see the kit but definitely let down once we opened it. I should also add that this order was placed through ClassWallet using funds from a North Carolina ESA+ grant for our special needs son... so really StemFinity, you are taking money from him.

StemFinity’s response: Emma first asked if we wanted a refund and to return the kit or wanted a replacement and we could still return it. I said we would love a replacement and could return the original one they sent the next day, if they could send us a return shipping label.

Well, at that point, she basically passed the buck… right back to the vendor, STEM Sports. She responded with an ambiguous email stating someone from STEM Sports is aware of “your” issue and would reach out to resolve the issue. When I asked for clarification on some details and contact info for STEM Sports, she said she thought it would be more effective if the vendor resolved it, even though we ordered it through StemFinity! Huh? If an order from Amazon or Wal-Mart is damaged or incorrect, even if it is drop-shipped, usually the item is returned directly to the company you ordered it from, not the manufacturer/vendor. STEM Sports is the manufacturer/vendor so this practice is very odd to me. Emma also stated she provided THEM with my contact info (once again not providing their contact info to me) and THEY will decide whether they’d like the kit returned or if they will give us a replacement.

And now we are stuck in limbo hoping someone will contact us to correct this. It has been five days of going back and forth with them. At this point, I feel it is only fair to leave all the reviews I can so others are not taken advantage of (Facebook, google, BBB.org, etc). I will also be reaching out to their CEO, William Albert directly as well as the CEO of STEM Sports. After looking at StemFinity’s reviews everywhere, it seems they engage in some consistently shady business practices. I’ll be reaching out to ClassWallet also if this is not resolved in the next couple of days.

I can’t stand dishonest companies especially when their less than stellar business practices affect a child. We just wanted the correct item in new condition, which is what we paid for. Do right by people, StemFinity.

What a rip off company! I purchased a 3-D printer that arrived on 1/15 2025. My estranged wife's also bought a printer elwhere. I call within the 15 day return period,never opened the box and this rip- offs want a 25% restocking fee. Baloney!

We bought a 3D printer from here about 3 years ago, and it broke, or so we thought. We brought it to STEMfinity, and they tested a newer nozzle which worked but instead of just making us buy it they did some more testing and found out the old nozzle was just clogged. (which was cheaper for us)

Great until this last year. Rude on the phone when they actually answer (Emma). Jon said point blank: "I don't answer emails." A couple minutes later he handed me a paper: "here's my email." True to his word, he does not respond. They've reduced hours, so harder to catch them open.

I love STEMfinity so much! I really can't say enough good things about the store and the employees. Every time I have stopped in they have gone above and beyond to help make sure my order is perfect. I used the majority of the Odyssey grant I received for my kids on STEM products. They have spent hours on educational, but fun things we got from STEMfinity. The SPIKE Lego's and other educational Lego sets are awesome. I wish we lived closer because they do STEM Saturday's I believe as well with awesome STEM activities for school-age kids. Great place all around!
