Sonrisas Spanish is an amazing curriculum! I have just started using it this year for my K-6 students, and I really enjoy all of the songs that the program provides (K-4), the methods implemented into the program, and the support that Brooks provides whenever I reach out to him.

This is probably the best thought-out and comprehensive curriculum I've ever used in my nearly 20 years of teaching Spanish in the classroom, and I'm so enjoying it thus far!

The Sonrisas curriculum has provided a fun space for my classrooms to learn. I teach kindergarten-5th grade and use level 1 & level 3 for my lessons. The students thoroughly enjoy and are engaged with every lesson… from the student greeting to the songs, books and art the student is learning the language and is interacting in Spanish. As a native speaker the lessons are thought in the same theory that I learned English, so I know they work and I am seeing first hand, students go from not knowing anything to knowing how to greet and expressing basic commands and how they feel early on in the year.
As for my classes that are learning from level 3, they too, find the lessons engaging and interactive . Students have so much fun in doing the calendar, spelling and stories at this level. This curriculum was created to be a fun and efficient learning experience for students and I am having great success. Thank you Sonrisas!

After a year long search I settled on using Sonrisas level 3 for my 5th and 6th grade students. I couldn’t be happier with the curriculum. I love that the curriculum has been designed based on research that shows how language learning happens best. It includes many opportunities for student input to create an understandable yet relatable story. I love that it is all scripted out for me and my prep time is way less than when I was creating my own lessons.
I love it so much I plan to eventually buy Sonrisas 1 and or 2 for my 4th graders next year.
I only have my students once a week for 40 mins and this curriculum works well for this schedule too!
