Silver Moon Inn - Estes Park, Colorado

The room was spotless everyday! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The area around the inn is gorgeous as well. Our room was overlooking the river and it was beautiful. One of the best parts of the Silver Moon Inn is its location. It’s on the edge of town so you are surrounded by trees and the river runs right in front of the Inn. It is located at the end of the downtown Main Street where most of the shops and restaraunts are. You can walk to downtown in 3 or 4 minutes. it was like a winter wonderland! There were smores for the kids by the fire every night! It was picture perfect! The downtown area is decorated like a Hallmark movie during Christmas! Breakfast is also provided, but if you want a hot breakfast and are extremely hungry the best breakfast in town is just a one minute walk away at the Big Horn restaurant! I can not say enough about how awesome this place is!

The Silver Moon Inn is an excellent location, right next to Fall River, and downtown Estes Park is just a short walk away. The grounds were clean and provided a great atmosphere for our vacation. The staff were extremely helpful, kind, and accommodating, especially considering we stayed during Christmas. We'll definitely be back.

We booked the two bedroom first floor apartment for the week of Christmas. Check in was simple and the location of the hotel is excellent for access to downtown Estes Park. Our room was almost exactly like it showed on the website. Not pictured on the website was the tiny shower and loose tile on the step going up to the shower. If you are over 5’8” tall, you will have trouble using this shower.

At check in quiet hours were explained as well as how to reach staff. Quiet hours are not enforced. We stayed four nights and for two of them the guests above us had some kind of intramural game happening all night. Constant running and jumping. It was quite loud and interfered with sleep. We called the front desk after hours to report this. The staff member I spoke to was apologetic, but the noise did not stop. At check out I asked about this to see if any discount could be given for this inconvenience and was told no. I was also told that the upstairs guest ‘had a bunch of kids up there.’

In addition to this inconvenience the fire pits were turned off early-without notice-on Christmas Day, they ran out of towels, and the way paper goods-paper towels, toilet paper, and tissues-were stocked in the room was rather stingy. My husband had to ask for more almost daily.

We didn’t leave early because we had activities planned in Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park for the week and didn’t want to risk not being able to find other lodging.

Great location and grounds and rooms were immaculately clean. Only downsides for us were the thin walls and wished there were pull down shades on the doors - the curtains didn’t block out much light nor shadows of people walking by a good portion of the day (kills the romance). Thank you for posting quiet hours bc we did sleep quite well. If you have kids, GREAT place to stay!

We loved this place. Went on vacation with Kids in Christmas.
Had a great time. They have neat room.
Staff is excellent and very friendly.
It's located next to a small river and in snow it looks so beautiful.
Plus they have fireplaces river side and they provide all materials for Marshmellow.
Kids loved it.
Breakfast was also decent.
I would definitely recommend this place.

Positive: the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were in excellent condition for an older hotel. The fire pits with smores was a fantastic treat to a long day Negative: The breakfast was below par. The only warm items were toast and bagel after in the toaster. Would of expected a better breakfast spread. If they upgraded the breakfast we would greatly consider staying there again.

If you plan on going to Estes park, the location is great in there is free parking. Free Continental breakfast is included, and the grounds are nice by the parking lot where you can sit around a fire and do s’mores in the evening. The beds were pretty comfortable, but the only complaint was that the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything going on anywhere in the building, and the air conditioning unit didn’t work the way it should. It was a little warm in the room, and we set the air to medium, not automatic and it would go on for about 30 seconds every couple of hours. The rooms were a little dated, but it’s what you can expect from a mountain inn.

We had a king size bed with fireplace room. The room was big and very comfortable. It is a very easy walk to the main shops in town and an easy drive to RMNP. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend staying here.
