Safeway

This location fails to place their store hours on both entrances and exit doors. They also failed to answer the phone when I attempted to call them to see why they were closed despite their hours showing they are open until 2am on the stores home location website. I've cancelled multiple online orders for customers attempting to place orders for this location. They definitely close the store at 12am midnight here. I did speak to someone the next day next day because my phone call, which I heard through the intercom was just ignored and so I called the next day and spoke with customer service she was unfriendly until she realized I wasn't actually complaining I just wanted to know the hours for the future. She explained to me the hours were incorrect online and that they all know they are incorrect and they definitely close at midnight. The Google time shows hours were verified by the team not too long ago which is odd and who knows if thats accurate. Also when I arrived after 1am ish there were so many unattended Safeway shopping carts all over the parking lot which led to more confusion? A few cars driving and walking and realizing they weren't open. I even saw stock graveyard shift associates working inside so yes, they are inside but just replenishing the store and what not, possibly cleaning but not open to the public. In short, the store hours need to be posted and updated. Orders are being placed, cancelled and then we show up and they are closed. It is an agitating experience . Also bit of a let down for customer experience.

Avoid this store. Ordered an online pickup on 6/14 to pick up the next day on 6/15 at 10am. By 6/15 at 10:45am (almost an hour after pickup time made the day before) the order was still not ready and my family had plans so had to cancel the order, but had trouble even getting the order cancelled because the employee lied about their name when calling to ask the manager why our order isn’t ready an hour late. The manager (Sal, I think?) was incredibly rude about their lying employee but still ensured our order was cancelled and not to worry because we shouldn’t get charged an order that was never gotten. Well it turns out we WERE charged even though we never received any items or even told the store we were on the way to pick them up. On 6/19 an employee calls my phone to tell me we must have forgotten part of our order because it was still there in the store bagged up. This made me pretty mad because for almost a week we didn’t have any progress made on an order that we never even picked up. Then on 6/28 we called because there was still no refund. The lady on the phone Michelle was incredibly rude and unhelpful and ensured “she was the department manager” and that our refund will go through. It’s now 7/5 and there is still no refund on items I never recieved. This was like over 100$ of an order Safeway has now basically stolen from me. Guess I gotta go through my bank to get my money back and go to the county to report their stealing store

I went in today Friday December 6th for $5 Friday. And Elisa was very rude and tried to over charge me me. Ground beef was on sale for 2lbs for $5 and she wanted to charge me over $16 when I asked for a manager she said no.

This safeway is a decent size. They have lots of good local selection and my favorite watsonville sourdough from Sumano's Bakery. They also have a really good bulk selection.

Great place , I was there after 10pn and the store is well kept. It is a big store.

Today I went in and purchased my items at self checkout and walked out to my car. An employee was on the phone to pd and told them my license plate number and the color of my car. I was putting my purchase items in my car. My kids were in my car as well. As I went to put the cart away I asked another employee if there was a problem they had told me they thought I was stealing. Then got asked if I had my receipt I said I threw it out. I went and got it out of the garbage myself and gave it to them . They didn't check my bags. ( Big mistake on there part.) Anyway, so I basically said forget it and tried leaving. As I was leaving the cops showed up. I had my Daughters in the car they got scared. So I told the officer what was going on. He had went in the store. Then came back out. I had asked him if I can have the receipt I want to take my items back he said I could not have it back. I think I should have been told at the beginning what was going on. I will never go back to this store. Just so disrespectful to a person who was on the right. U should be a shamed of accusing someone of shoplifting that did not.
