It’s such a beautiful bookstore and I always love the locals collection where they feature books by artists here. There’s also lovely postcards done from artists around here. They have a pretty good selection and I like that they change up and organize the themes (the other day I saw some cute books about clouds!) so perfect for buying books as gifts or just browsing - there’s even comfortable chairs to sit in. Of course it’s perfect being right next to Carmel valley roasting coffee and sweet rebas!!

This bookstore is a Carmel gem ? It feels like the owner really takes time on selecting the titles to carry so the curated books appeal to vast interests across genres.

I wanted to enjoy Carmel with a book, latte and sun and I found it all across from each other along with a delish chocolate shop .

An ok bookstore with the least friendly staff and manager I’ve ever experienced. Totally unwelcoming, two shoppers in the store were looking at each other in disbelief as the two store clerks grumpily rang up their purchases. The manager was drawing names for a raffle but she was not engaging anyone and was actively putting people off. We waited around for a while to see if we might win a raffle prize after buying several books kand then finally just left because it was clear we were unwelcome. Such a bummer. I really like to support local business but will not go back or send anyone there.
