Was leaving West Yellowstone and needing a convenient place to stay for the night, and Rankin Motel was above and beyond in service and comfort! Was sent detailed directions to locate the motel and was greeted at the office with friendly service. Charming, family owned motel with comfortable and clean rooms. The towels were bright white and soft, and the bedding was very clean. No stains on the carpets nor walls. Very quiet location and convenient access to Island Park and West Yellowstone. Pet friendly with a very reasonable pet fee. Would absolutely stay here again.

This little place is a gem. Great location near Island Park and Yellowstone. It's been around forever, but the owners lovingly take the best care of it. Clean and comfortable, the beds are double sheeted and plenty of crisp white towels. The grounds are attractive and well maintained. The owner called me personally to arrange early check in at my request. She was so nice and accommodating. Great place!

Our family of 7 (2 adults and 5 children from ages 12 to 1) stayed in the farmhouse at the Rankin Motel. It was fabulous. We really loved it. We spent most of our time at Yellowstone, but wished we could've had more time to just stay around Ashton and play around the farmhouse and relax. There was plenty of room for us, with some to spare. I was really impressed with the cleanliness. I am quite a clean person, to a fault. I felt completely comfortable here, even letting the baby crawl around on the floor. There were little details about the accommodations that I noticed they do to make their guests feel comfortable. We were left with nothing wanting. The only thing that we seemed to desire was a washing machine for our clothes. It was really fine though because we only stayed three nights. We can't wait to stay again in the future.

We loved this family run motel.I love the charm of a motel that uses actual keys instead of key cards and where you can park right outside your room. The decor is a bit older but they had the amenities we needed, including microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and toiletries. Niki was very accommodating when we requested to add a night. Everything was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It is right on the highway so expect some highway noise, but the room fan helped cover the noise and we slept really well. I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed in one of the six motel rooms. Kindergarten sized toilet and sink. A/C fan ran all the time and the compressor kicked in and out. Liked that but didn't like the strange noise the fan made. Has an interesting floor in the bathroom area and thought the smoke detector was in a strange place. Showerhead was for people under 5 foot. Has a mini refrigerator and microwave. Bed was too hard for the wife, but okay for me.

We loved our stay here! We were out here for a Yellowstone/Grand Teton trip and this place was the most affordable option we could find when booking relatively last minute. We stayed in a two bedroom cabin and enjoyed every second. The beds were comfortable to come back to after a long day hiking. The rooms were very clean and provided a homey environment. The owner/hostess (Jenny) was so welcoming and does a phenomenal job running the place! I highly recommend staying here

Stayed here two years ago and will gladly recommend this place to anyone. Miss Jenny is the best. The motel and cabins have been here a long time but they are very clean and all the conveniences you would hope for in a small town motel. A real coffee pot is furnished, air and heat are good. The usual TV, fridge, microwave worked fine. Internet service is good. The beds are comfortable. It is not a luxury hotel with pools,spas, and hot tubs but it is excellent for what we need and is close enough to Yellowstone without paying huge fees in the park or in West Yellowstone.
