“Discounted prices,” aren’t true to price. They mislabel so be sure to check the descriptions before you walk up to purchase. The older woman we dealt with was impolite and unprofessional when I told her the item was mislabeled she made it sound like I was being cheap, by saying “it’s only $23.” Because I expressed the price marked WITH THE ITEM WAS ONLY $17, it’s not even the money, Yes I could’ve bought it, but her attitude over it and acting annoyed over me not wanting to spend another $6 on paint that I could’ve bought individually for cheaper, really threw me off of the whole experience.

This place is great. A massive selection of art supplies and great folk running the till. I was in town for work and wish there was a place like this back home. Keep on doing what you do! Art has a great home here.

I really want to give this store a higher rating than just three stars. It's locally owned and it's our only art store in the treasure valley. That being said, they have some real supply issues, stocking only really poor quality items and really high quality items with nothing in between. They also have a tendency to run out of items and never restock them, overpriced the items, serious computer glitches, no prices on items, and more.
That being said the employees are very helpful and knowledgeable.

Edit: After seeing the reply to my review made by the business, I am deciding to change my 3 star review to a 4 star. I always commend a business with a growth mindset and that gives a solution to a problem a customer has, rather than brushing it off. This is the kind of quality a business needs to succeed. Thank you so much. I feel much better coming back in here to purchase art supplies now.

Original review: This is a hit or miss depending on the day. I really like the supplies of this art store, but the people working here I've noticed are variable, some seem to look down on artists that ask questions and wont engage with customers or help them aside from telling them the general direction of where you should be looking, I've had good experiences here too when I was looking for supplies for an art class years ago and was helped very well, so I've had both positive and negative experiences here, so it depends on who is working that day. The supplies for art are endless, so as long as you know exactly what you're looking for and need no customer service, it's a fantastic place. I just wish I was valued more as a customer who came in asking for help and questions so I wouldn't have to look up things on my phone that weren't answered for me when I asked the people working there.

VERY grateful for this place. Ran into a watercolor paper emergency (yes, they do happen) and Quality Art was very nice to accommodate close to closing time so I could purchase some more. Plus, they have student discounts! It's tempting buy everything from Amazon (I'm guilty of it too) but if you can support local, this is the place to do it.

This place is incredible. They have every possible thing I could ever imagine for doing art. The staff is friendly. The prices are good and things are organized in a way that makes sense to me. Getting my teenage daughter started in oil paint and they had everything she needed.
