Libraries are supposed to be quiet so people can focus. Every time I come here there are kids screaming and people chatting loudly by the computers. Nothing is EVER said to them.

Absolutely great place, so many programs are offered. The library is practically self sufficient when it comes to checking out books and the kid areas are such a wonderful touch. I took 3/4 of my kiddos and we were there for almost 2hrs just enjoying the space.
10/10 would recommend.

Clean, abundant natural lighting inside, seed library, small art gallery for locals, internet access and printers for when your home wifi is down, local newspapers (in print 🙂 include COS Gazette, Denver Post, Pueblo Chieftain. A little light on the periodicals but you can find much of that online from the comfort of your home. Many, many events and meetings and discussions and activities for local citizens. It takes years to discover it all. The only downside I've really seen is some careless maintenance of the bushes near the entrance which were overrun by weeds this year - but that is an issue with the County. In a word, well-managed. Adjacent is the civic center and disc golf course, next door you'll find the Sheriff where you can drop off your ballot. There are some vending machines inside for refreshments. Coffee isn't bad for $1, and if you go next door to Solar Roasters, you can get higher end brew and snacks. It's a comfortable place, and you will always find a friendly human or two at the help desk - something to appreciate when the online world comes up short. I suppose that if I had all the money in the world though, that some Sunday hours would be on the top of the list of things to sponsor.

Gone are the days of quiet study areas. Between the foosball table, the young adults facetiming on speakerphone, and loud Librarians, there aren’t many quiet places unless you are able to reserve them well ahead of time. When the librarians answer to loud people in the library is for you to move to another nook rather than ask people to be quiet. I will not be voting for any more money to go to the library when they ask. Feels more like a recreation center than a library.
