I have been going to New West for 11 years and I have always been happy. I have been dealing with a prescription issue for over 5 weeks now. NO one will help me
You cant get past the front desk people to talk to someone. I have been told three times they are "escalating" my request and still no one does anything. Called for practise manager today and she couldnt talk either. Insurance compsny need a pre-auth which I called for 4 weeks ago. Insurance called them yesterday to tell them EXACTLY what was needed and please call me...
.no response. I keep getting told i am sorry by them but I am tired of that. I need this medicine. Dr. Coleman. Sarah and Gavin are wonderful but if you have a problem and get escalated that is just an ignore.

My wife had an appointment with Dr. Coleman. About a week before the appointment, the doctor changed her schedule and our appointment got "bumped." Rather than working everybody out on that date. This just means canceled. So if you're willing to wait a month for an appointment, just for it to be canceled and have to wait another month and a half go here. It's great. If you want actual service with a professional doctors office that doesn't screw you over go somewhere else 🙂

I used to love this office. I love all of the doctors and would love to stay here but this place has gone so downhill.

I've been sick twice this year and each time, they have no day of availability. I asked and apparently they get rid of day-of sick appointments. My opinion was to wait a month to see someone or do a Tele health call with a doctor from another office. Neither option is good.

I think I will have to look for a new Dr. What a pain!

Man, I so wish I could stay with UC Health. Unfortunately, my new employer provides very limited coverage contracting with limited practices, New West being one of them.
So I call two months ago to establish care with a new GP. I was scheduled with Dr. Mary Coleman, who has since decided it’s somehow acceptable to reschedule my new patient appointment not once, but TWICE now. They are unable to get me in with ANY provider for over 3 weeks from now. Again, I did my due diligence as a patient who needs medication refilled by trying to establish care with a new provider for two months now. I have patiently waited to see a doctor who has the indecency to reschedule my new patient visit twice, most recently being THREE DAYS AWAY from my scheduled appointment because she has “meetings.” You guys are disgusting. I will be seeking care elsewhere.

New West office support has gone down hill since the formerly provider owned practice sold to Optum.

Billing is incompetent and front desk staff is rude.

As much as I like my provider, the incompetence at the office level is breathtaking.

If you need your medical records they will not provide them. Good luck getting the information off of their site. The lack of care with this Doctors office is astounding. I am not sure how it is even legal. Go somewhere else and get real care by professionals that are in it for the patients not just the numbers.

As an Italian, I can say that the system and the level of competence in this country is really low. Africa is better. Again 5th doctor in this area and really bad experience. Move away from this country, that is the only suggestion if you care about your health.

I have gone to New West Physicians Park Ridge and have been seeing Dr. Baker since 2010 (almost 15 years). Unfortunately, the practice has gone downhill over the past five years. Annual physicals are booked out 12 months in advance, scheduling an ad-hoc apt. is booked out 3+ weeks in advance, and the bedside manner of some of the staff is atrocious.

I am 16 weeks pregnant and was concerned about my mercury levels (which can be extremely harmful to an unborn baby). I called to make an appointment to get a heavy metals test and the earliest they could get me in was in 3 weeks. When I reached out via the portal, someone called and said they could get me in the following week with a PA; I was ecstatic! When I showed up for my appointment, I was told they didn't have it on the books, and the person I spoke to forgot to book the appointment. Instead of apologizing for their mistake, they sent someone to tell me that I should see my OB-GYN and have them test my metals instead. This is after I took time off work, drove 45 minutes to their office, and showed up for an appointment they messed up. This will be my last "appointment" with this practice. The lack of concern for their patients, the inability to make an appointment in a timely manner, and general ineptitude were the last straws. Like all the other reviews say - "disappointing after all these years."
