Found this cool spot while visiting the area. Well maintained & marked. Many different places to park. Small lake, with people kayaking and fishing. Saw people with dogs, and dog stations present. Saw pavilions, benches, small bathroom and volleyball court.

This park is well used by the locals as well as many people from surrounding communities. It is well kept. Parking near the main use area can fill fast on nice days, but there are new lots across the lake. It's 4 stars because of the parking.

It is a fun little pound to come visit. Swimming is not allowed but you can kayak, paddle board, and fish. There are less people then at monument lake. Parking can be hard to get on the weekend but there is plenty of close overflow parking spots. There is also a frisbee golf course that is a lot of fun to use!

Ice was only 2.5" thick and cracking on 1/4/2025. My son did land one fish before we decided to bail. It was good last summer. The shoreline can be crowded, and there are a lot of paddle boarders. The park maintenance was OK for me to use a manual powered pontoon.

This place is so fun! There’s plenty of space for the many people who are there, and there’s a good walking trail, lots of benches, a playground, and a frisbee golf course.

The parking is free, though the lot is a bit on the small side.

Palmer Lake is a great little mountain town very close to Colorado Springs, and the lake itself freezes over completely in the winter so you can walk on it. I even saw some people ice fishing, though I'm not sure what the rules are on that. It's a great stop along the way if you take the scenic Highway 105 from Monument to Denver.
