The employees are outstanding. However, the library used to have comfortable furniture and a welcoming environment. Now it is a facility full of very uncomfortable plastic furniture. The plastic chairs sit so low and the tables the computers are on sit so high, I don't know who could be comfortable working at a computer. It is now such a disappointment. I really miss the way it used to be.

I greatly appreciate the Palm Desert Branch Library. The people working there are always so helpful and courteous. The library is so clean and pleasant. Social distancing protocol is practiced and everyone must wear a mask. Resources of every kind can be found at this library. Computers are available at no charge for 1 hour daily and printing or photocopies are $.15 per page. This community is blessed to have this library.

The Palm Desert Library is a very pleasant and well-run facility. At the moment it is open under COVID-19 restrictions. Patrons are limited to 1 hour a day.

If a patron takes a book off the shelf, it may not be returned, but is "quarantined" for 5 days. I avoided unshelving books by looking them up and reading synopses and reviews on Amazon and only touching a book when I was sure I was seriously interested in it.

The library loses a star because of a very small F&SF section lacking many very popular newer books by popular authors.

Shout out to the kids program here.

Specifically Alex. He was a great character to read stories to kids. He had note pads with song lyrics and fun sing alongs.

We went for toddler day and infant day. Both were great. A+

We will come back when returning to PD which is 2+ times per year.

I was at the library today working on a computer. I needed some help with downloading a document....correcting it...and then getting it back into my email as an attachment. I had no idea how to do this. I asked for help from Susan, the librarian. She knew exactly how to help me and because of Susan, this took no time at all. I would never have figured out how to do this on my own. Many thanks Susan!

Modern library with a nice staff. Books, DVDs, magazines, newspapers all available for checkout. Computers for use as well. Especially impressed with the fact that you can put a hold on a book in any of the RCLS branch libraries and they'll ship it to this location and hold it for you.
