I could not be happier with my experience at Outskirts Press. My initial inquiries were handled promptly and efficiently. Once I decided upon a publishing package my author representative shepherded me through the entire process. My book was published about a week ago and I am thrilled with the end product - a very professional looking presentation designed by the people at Outskirts. You pay for some additional services but I found that the cost of the services I purchased was money well spent. I would not hesitate to use Outskirts again to publish my next book.

I published two children's books with Outskirts Press and it was a great experience. I really love my books. If you want to become a published author I would not hesitate to contact them today. The illustrator was wonderful and the book designer took a great deal of care to provide the look I wanted! It was quite expensive though, and I hope to publish through a traditional publisher next time.

I just received my author copies of my book. It is hard to put into words how happy I am with the book. It is SO BEAUTIFUL! The cover and every page within are so beautifully designed; the presentation and the quality are impeccable.
Working with Outskirts Press was so amazing. My initial representative introduced me to Outskirts Press, their processes, services and costs. She remained thoughtful and helpful as I took my time to finish writing and decide on using their services. Any time I had questions she responded in a timely manner. When I signed on, another representative was assigned to me as my author representative. She was always kind, thorough and helpful, and quick with answering all my questions. She made sure I was informed of every step in the process. The editing staff are knowledgeable, skilled and thorough. And those who did the design and layout are fabulous!! I had my own illustrator and they worked with placing our illustrations just as I had indicated. After publishing, I had help with creating a Kindle version, and with marketing. All very helpful! When I publish again, I will definitely return to Outskirts Press.

I have published five novels with Outskirts Press. Each of my publications went smoothly. Excellent communication and response to my questions I had emailed. There is a whole staff for each book. So, I interacted with each of the staff. It was all positive from my standpoint and many suggestions were offered. I can easily Highly recommend Outskirts Press to anyone interested in self-publishing. So I first started publishing in 2017. Dana is my author's helper. My first time writing and publish with Outskirts Press was good. Yes they do charge and have additional fees for unnecessary items. But you have to do your homework, before moving forward. If you want Outskirts to do everything for you, it going cost YOU! If you want to save money and time, you can save lots of money, like getting your book professional edit and copyright, Yourself, which is the title of my book. Upload your book on Amazon and Kindle, to cut down on cost, to put more money in your pocket and not thiers.

This company is a total scam. The complaints online at the BBB are uncountable. The sales pitch is their main concern. I paid $35 for a what they said was a professional review, instead it was merely an approval process and I received nothing but a sales pitch, telling me how wonderful my book is, but nothing of value. It was all geared to sign me up for a 2 grand publishing package with no guarantees.
This led me to research and I found numerous people who were never paid, never received books they ordered, were charged continuously in the hope they would have some kind of success.
Outskirts press relies on a person's ignorance combined with ambition. The prey on newbies who have no clue about publishing. When I asked for a professional review, the guy became rude, told me I needed editing from them despite the book having been edited and finished.
After this I received email from the CEO asking me how my writing was coming, after having a phone conversation and detailing the book is already published on Amazon, finished. The woman simply could not get on the same page with me and kept sticking to her sales strategy, steering me to a publishing package for over a grand, then excluding the fact they have charges they never told me about, such as limiting my book to 10 pictures in their contract, but never stating so, because they get you in, then tell you oh, you need to pay more here, you need to pay more there. Exactly what I read in the complaints to the BBB. AVOID THESE PEOPLE.
