I would like it to be known that while I did not check out a single book, or even peruse the stacks, I can tell that this library cares about the work that they do. Greeted by intentional and gracious librarians, we were welcomed to work remotely as we traveled by van without much of a plan. No where in town with reliable enough internet to get anything done--except here. A quiet and spacious place--comfortable and convenient. You can even get their wifi from the curb before and after hours (this feels sly but they literally encourage you as you leave).. anyway--about their books: they have cute sections that are curated to the modern reader and to the world around us (i.e. working from home, etc.) I love it here and I wish my Denver tax money could be allocated to Ouray. Thanks for everything!

The librarians are so friendly and helpful! I love that they have programs that encourage kids to read. And we love the way they've organized the children's books by subject- it is easy for my kids to find things they are interested in.

Wonderful little Library with a free trading Library just across the street. Grab a free book to read while you're visiting Ouray. Most importantly, there is a public restroom in the library and Community Center.
