I can’t say enough good things about this place!! Great people, awesome concept of blending beer and books, eclectic book selection and amazing beers on tap by brewery Alliteration. Went last weekend and the place was hoppin! Got in, got our beers within just a few minutes and spent the rest of the time enjoying company, enjoying the atmosphere and drinking some great tasting beer. Excited to see this place finally open, will certainly be back!

Hear me out - you can tell how much a business cares about the totality of their customers’ experience by the quality of their toilet paper. Oldspeak has great toilet paper, which is a rare find these days. Their attention to detail and intentionality is apparent in every little detail, from the decor, to the book and gift selection, to the menu; it’s clear that every choice was made with care and respect for their customers.

Great and affordable tea with beautiful, fun presentation. The shop felt like Hogwarts. From start to finish Oldspeak was a great experience. I’ll be back!

I am utterly obsessed with Oldspeak! The staff is friendly, knowledgable and fun. The space is unique and offers a moody books and beer experience. Great study space during the day, perfect girls night or date location at night. If I could rate this higher than a 5 star, I would!

As a habitual "guy reading alone at the end of the bar", I cannot even begin to express how meaningful this place is to me. On my first visit I witnessed a table full of ladies knitting together for a few hours, overheard groups of new friends passionately discussing a certain book series, and got into an impromptu session of quoting Jack London with some fellow Garden City regulars. All the while, I read alone in the corner in a comfy chair for a good four hours and never once felt like "that weird guy reading at the bar". It's truly a great space for the community and I look forward to spending many more days here.

Oh, and the decor and beers are really great, too!
