Next Chapter Books

I’ve been on the hunt for local book shops to purchase some classics, as I find myself preferring to purchase them second hand for the beautiful vintage covers and the wonderful feeling of reading an already well loved book. Next Chapter Books is a gem, and I highly recommend! The owner was very kind, and made sure to greet me when I entered and let me know he was there if I needed anything. Hardcovers are around $12-$16, while paperbacks are around $3-$6. Really great prices! I think at first you may think the space is a bit small, but once you really look through all the aisles there’s SO many books! He’s got a great selection of genres, but the fantasy paperback selection was my favorite! He even has some step stools and chairs around, so you can use them to check the higher shelves or sit to check out your picks before purchase. It’s quiet but well taken care of by the owner. You can tell there’s a lot of love there. The owner and I chatted about how I found his shop through google since he mentioned he doesn’t really advertise it as much anymore. I told him he’s got great reviews on here, and hopefully more people can find Next Chapter Books and stop by! ?

I found Next Chapter Books about a year ago. The owner/manager is really nice and it turns out we are from the same hometown. He’s got close to 40,000 books for sale! There’s an area in the front of the store where you can sit down and relax and read to see what books you want to buy. I have found some really interesting books there.

I was over thrilled that there was actually a bookstore five minutes away from my home. I plan on making next chapter books my reading place. I love the vibe of the entire store. Wow! Just wow! I love this used book store. It is a large location with full book shelves. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly. Immediately asked me if I had any questions then walked me to all the Fantasy Fiction shelves/sections he has explaining a lil at each section. There are about 5 aisles/areas just fantasy fiction where most other stores I’ve walked into only had a small section. The prices are the best in the Valley! The average book is $3-6. I got 5books and all were $3-$4 each. When I purchased them I explained how it’s so hard to find a great used book store like his and he proceeded to print out a list of used book stores I could check out! He even gave me a couple book marks for each series I purchased. Above and beyond customer service. I will likely be going back at least 1x month if not more.

Clean, well-lighted bookstore. Pricey, but not overly so. Most hardcovers are $14 while paperbacks range from $3 to $7. As such, some deals are to be had, especially for academic press hardcovers. Very good selection of history books in particular. Parking in the rear. The owner seems to be the only employee: sweet man, given to self-depricating and grandfatherly jokes; chaty but endearing.

Wide range of books with very knowledgeable owner. History, fiction, mystery, western, children, Christian and much more. Can't recommend this place enough. Nice places to sit while you look through all the options.
