I had an amazing first experience at Newport Beach Pier. Walking on a nice sunny day is most preferred. There are people fishing off the docks and surfer riders taking on waves. I highly suggest all families and friends come here for the best activities. There are also many shops and restaurants off the oceanfront to go to as well. Beautiful and relaxing scenery!! Great place to chill, exercise, meditate, swim, surf, fish, and have fun!! It can get packed and difficult to find parking some days… just have to be patient… get there early if you want to enjoy the sunrise… sunsets are also breathtaking when you catch them!! I just love the beach!!

Went fishing on the pier for the first time. No fishing license required if fishing from the pier however, if you catch a fish and can't reel it up and you decide to walk towards the shore to reel it in from there you DO need a license. Pretty dumb of you ask me but oh well. Lots of great places to eat and shop right off the boardwalk. I love this area!

I come here every time I'm in town. Sometimes paid parking is available, other times it's impossible to find a parking spot. You could drive around for hours and never find a spot. It all depends on what time of the year you're visiting. Either way, it's always worth attempting to see the Newport beach and it's pier. With a pay parking area, bathrooms, out door showers, restaurants and shops/businesses all surrounding the pier; it's sitting at the center of the Newport beach experience. Beautiful white brick, beach homes surround the inner walking strip of restaurants and shops. If your lucky you can park for free on the street if you find an open spot. Outside of that relaxing picturesque neighborhood is a bustling town that turns into a freeway or vers off into areas with man-made canal's, beautiful boats and upper class neighborhoods followed by more restaurants and shops. Enjoy a day at the beach with your family, or simply take a solo walk across the beach. Either way, it's worth the effort to feel and smell the salty sea air.

Gorgeous spot and worth a visit. Prepare for a hefty parking fee ($20+) but make the most of it by exploring the beach and taking in the views from the pier. Plenty of places to eat and shop on a variety of budgets.

I love Newport Beach. The pier is awesome to walk to the end of and check out the waves and the sand. There are a lot of nice shops and restaurants around the pier. Lots of places to rent bikes and ride along the beach.

Newport Beach is our fav in CA. We came this year end of July. Really crowded but we went from parking lot straight out to the beach. Beautiful, clean beach. Big waves for boogie boarding. Cold refreshing water. My family had a blast!
