This is a free, public access, natural hot spring area in the heart of Pagosa Springs. Located downtown on the San Juan Riverwalk. If you have wild kids, this is. Good place to go if you are wanting a FREE, NATURAL experience! No frills, just nature. Good place to go with kids if you are worried about disturbing paying customers who are trying to relax at the posh spas around town.

Beautiful place located next to San Juan river, we visited in the winter. The area around was full of ice, and the hot springs were hot . I recommend visiting this beautiful place.

Great place to enjoy a free soak in the natural hot springs of Pagosa. You get the same view as the paid hot springs in town! However, they aren't as deep as them, there is enough water to sit in comfortably and enjoy a good soak!

One of the nicest free springs I’ve been to! Was super great to have the river right there to jump into and cool off!

It’s free so what can you expect. It’s very good but compared to $20 and $60 hot springs that provide towels, water, it’s a step below.

Across from Nathan’s is the resort that has a swimming pool and a dozen of deep hot springs. Nathan’s? Only 4-6 pools and maybe 2-3 deep enough to sit.

There is a bathroom down the walkway next to the kids park. It’s great for free but it has a lot some limitations: shallow hot springs so I imagine getting crowded on weekends.

Our first trip to pagosa and we ended up just doing the free hot springs instead of paying for the fancy ones. It totally met our needs, we enjoyed going in and out of the river and one of the pools. I could see how it might get overwhelmed on a busy weekend but it was pretty quiet, friendly, and nice on our trip in late August. Sulfury smell but that’s all the springs and it dies down once you’re over there for a while.

Great time with family. A lot of people, some didn't want to share the spots, but nevertheless, we had a great time.
