I had an excellent experience at the Meridian Library! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how spacious, clean, and well-organized the space is. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with finding books, suggesting new reads, or helping with technology. The selection of books is vast, and I love the variety of programs and events they offer for all ages. Whether you’re looking for a quiet place to study, a spot to relax with a good book, or fun family activities, this library has it all. It’s truly a community gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch library experience!

Between Home and Work

Home was still miles away, and due to foggy weather conditions , I would miss my end-of-semester presentation for my doctoral program( a sample literature reference attached). Initially, I considered the option of presenting from the parking lot of a McDonald’s, utilizing their complimentary Wi-Fi. However, a more effective solution emerged—visiting the library. Siri provided directions to a nearby library, and within two minutes, I arrived at my destination.

Upon arrival, I sought a study room but soon discovered that I also required assistance from a compassionate librarian. Fortunately, librarian Sylvia was available; she not only secured me a room but also made efforts to navigate the unreliable internet connections to facilitate my emergency presentation arrangements. The level of empathy demonstrated by Sylvia towards a stranger is rare and commendable.

Always such a pleasant atmosphere. Everybody that works there is always so helpful and so friendly! This little library has allot to offer and is my go-to for document printing or emergency computer use. They have a kids section, a teen section and a section for events/conferences. Plus plenty of parking in back. You can check out books and other items too!

Great library, with a fun little kids area. The screens in the kids area have fun digital learning games are really good little activities. The baby music class is really great!

But do not try reserving a room here, they are pretty difficult to work with. We tried using a room for a homeschool discussion and they only let you use the room for one hour or they'll charge you. But be careful, I asked if I could sit my bag down in the room a bit before my reservation (and asked to make sure no one was using it beforehand) and the staff said that was totally fine. Then another lady comes very upset, tells me in front of the entire group that that counts as "set up" and she's going to charge me, and she was so upset and rude. It was shocking that she got so upset telling me 3 times in front of the group and my kids that she has to charge me and I was so wrong to sit my bag in there. I apologized and immediately retrieved the bag (saying multiple times that I'd been told that was fine.) She wanted to charge me even though I was going to retrieve the small grocery sized bag right away. We almost didn't even use the room because she was so upset. Long story short, don't try to reserve a room or do an activity here.

Pretty nice library, can get a little noisy during after school hours with high schoolers who hang out here. Great space and selection of books and media though.
