Meet Cute is an adorable, romance-only bookshop nestled in the North Park neighborhood. I'm a book lover, and visiting this bookshop has been on my to-do list for quite some time. They offer a great selection of romance novels across different genres such as contemporary, fantasy, dark romance, and even YA. The shop is quaint and charming, featuring reading accessories like stickers, bookmarks, and unique candles. I particularly love their mystery books, which are wrapped and hidden, with only a brief summary on the cover. Picking out a mystery book was fun, and I was quite happy with my choice.

However, I wish they had a more extensive selection of fantasy books, as I've read most of what they had in store. Also, the staff could have been friendlier and more willing to assist customers. One thing I love about Barnes & Noble is the consistent greeting and welcome upon entry, along with readily available help. Aside from that, it was nice to finally visit the bookshop. I noticed that they typically offer a bag with purchases, which I wasn't offered. I would have appreciated receiving one of their logo bags after my purchase.

This was an adorable little spot I stumbled upon thanks to TikTok while I was visiting SD. They have a huge variety and I love how organized and categorized everything was. I bought a book I had been eyeing for a while and the cutest bookmark! The staff were not very friendly, though.

Such a wonderful addition to La Mesa village! They have a great selection of books (including non-romance) as well as cute notepads, stickers and jewelry. The women who run the shop are super sweet and provide great recommendations. I’m happy to support and recommend our new local bookshop!

The second you step inside a bookstore and see all your favourites, you know you’re in your happy place! A great selection of romance books (and my favourite section, romance adjacent) with a ton of queer representation. Also featured are a “blind date” style section with books with a short description and wrapped up tightly so you can’t see the cover- so cute- as well as a great sticker, keychain, and journal selection.

Amazing staff!!! The wide variety of romance genres are amazing. I literally planned a long weekend in San Diego just to visit here and it wasn't wasted at all. I came home $500 poorer, but for the better. Cannot praise this place enough. Definitely check out their mystery books "don't judge a book by its cover" section if you stop by. Both the ones I got I wouldn't have picked up before, but they ended up being right in my reading zone and so good. Cannot recommend this place more. GO GO GO!!!
