Love this store!! Every time I pop into Mitsuwa I have to stop inside this cute little shop. They carry lots of unique stationery, gifts, and writing supplies. Due to covid, they are only allowing a small number of shoppers in at a time.

The store is small, but is filled to the brim with goodies! Most of the items they stock can’t really be found anywhere else, except for Japan of course. Today I left with a fun maneki neko nesting doll set that I had been eyeing for months! I haven’t found anything like it anywhere else, even online. They also had the cutest neko enamel pins but I couldn’t decide on one. There is something for everyone in Mai Dō, and the staff are always extremely helpful.

ありがとうございます!

Absolutely horrendous service.
The lady at the front was not helpful, friendly or professional. The question was, “Do you carry any Lamy tips?” And I was met with an attitude that could’ve shaken the San Andres fault line to its end!
Eyes shot, lips perched, eyebrows raised to the sky, she proceeds to sell me the tip that was priced at $17 dollars for goodness sakes, I might as well been robbed. To end the interaction, she hands me the tip and receipt to say, “you should watch YouTube video on how to install, it’s not that easy for some people.”
Underestimate me again I dare you!

Never returning. My Lamy is not restored, no thanks to her.

The staff are very kind, patient and helpful. The answered my seven million questions about writing gear. Very happy that they carry Traveler's Company products, as well as Lamy Safari pens and Pilot Iroshizuku ink. My writing has been such a joy after visiting this store. They now have a loyal customer. I shall return and send more people their way. Cheers!

One of my favorite stores. Narrow aisles but they have unique small fabrics in the back of the store, fancy stationary, fancy stamp supplies, et cetera. This is a great place to pick up a unique stationary, pen, or related item. This store is inside Mitsuwa and may be challenging for larger or special needs guests to navigate.

I LOVE this place! I really wish that there were stores like this back home. I purchased my very first Traveler's Notebook Company traveler's notebook. The sales lady was very helpful and she even opened the package to let me see inside without me asking her. If I ever find myself in California again then I'll definitely be back!

Besides parking being an absolute nightmare and large trucks/SUVs parking in COMPACT spaces, this is a pretty cool location. Maido is located within the Mitsuwa off to the side near the food court. The physical space is tiny, but there a lot of stock. Employees are nice and helpful. Definitely a place to go to get upscale stationary and calligraphy supplies!

Just soft opened. Replaced the kitchenware store spot that used to be here for years (they closed along with the Kinokuniya bookstore). Think of it as carrying everything that used to be in the pen and stationary section of Kinokuniya, with a few other items like some magazines, clocks, and other office gift items. Tons of pens and pencils, but not as extensive as the Kinokuniya in Little Tokyo or shops in Japan. For example, 0.3mm lead only in Pentel Aim and Uniball Nanodia, no other brands. Only Japanese office supplies, paper sizes, and folders, so don't expect to buy anything letter-sized for US office use.

This is what has replaced Kinokuniya inside of Mitsuwa. It is basically a very tiny, cramped version of it: focusing mostly on stationery goods and some cute knick-knacks. There are no longer any books (just a very small wall of magazines) or anime merchandise. Very disappointing.
