Excellent library! They provide all kinds of fantastic activities; it's been great to bring my toddler to enjoy them. The staff are amazing at what they do and frankly deserve raises, regardless of what they're paid now! We definitely appreciate all the work they do for us

This is a family friendly library, and in my opinion, the best in SE Idaho. Their children’s section is vast, lots of books, puzzles, rocking toys, and educational computers available. There’s always some event for kids set up each week, including story time! Their YA section is quite small, which is a bit disappointing. The adult section is much larger, and is completely separate from YA and children—a feature I really appreciate.
Also note they have a drive-thru drop off, and an electric drop off in the doorway. Really love the atmosphere here!

This library is amazing 🤩. The staff is always so kind and friendly. I have never had a time when they don’t seem like they want to help or them being annoyed. They have a very amazing selection of books and movies, and it is always easy to find what I’m looking for. I love that they have the fish tank that little kids can look at. The kids play area is so fantastic! My little brother has so much fun playing in it and it is so hard and funny to get him to go home when it’s time 😂. Another thing that’s really amazing is the summer reading program and activities they do. Couldn’t be happier with the library❤️❤️❤️

Good place to study/read. Very close, walking distance, to BYU-I. I might suggest the designated quiet zone, children are not quiet. Also within walking distance of local grocery store, Broulims. They have a convenient book drop.

They have a good selection of books and movies/shows that are available to check out. They have a decent selection of community events/activities for different age ranges. The staff have been friendly whenever I’ve had to talk with them. My one complaint is that their hours are chaotic. The notice on their entry says this is due to labor shortages but I haven’t seen of any efforts from the library to fix this.

We lived in Rexburg for 2 years while deciding where to buy a home. We come back multiple times a year to visit my in laws. We’ve live around the country and have visited many libraries. This Rexburg library is one of the best. The staff who oversee and execute all of the kids activities, and reading times are outstanding. They generate so many activities and programs on top of the weekly story & singing times - plus they’re all top notch.

From the book perspective, whoever is curating the book selections are doing an amazing job. We’ve found so many awesome kids books that we’ve ended up needing to buy them else we’d have them permanently checked out! We’ve also read many amazing adult books that I wouldn’t have thought to pick up without the library staff’s help. My biggest love for this library comes from their kits - adult & kids ones. Go in, grab a big bag kit that has everything you need to learn about a topic or to try out something new. When your kid has a new interest or is heading into something new (potty training, school etc) grab one! Or if you’re an adult and in a reading funk, pick up one of their exploration kits to get going again.

The Madison Library in Rexburg Idaho is a treasure!! The kindness of the staff and the friendliness of the local patrons just makes you feel at home. There is always something fun to do with all of the engaging programs for children and adults. There is something for everyone. It's also a place to just get away and enjoy some peace and quiet and a great adventure with the large selection of books.
