First time coming in the other day. Great selection of books. Atmosphere was cozy, could sleep there if allowed (lol). Enjoyed the layout. Staff was authentic and welcoming. Looking forward to my next visit.

I’m sorry to report that tomorrow, May 3, 2018, the Oak Cliff branch of Lucky Dog Books will be closing. Today was my first visit and i have to admit being a bit emotional as I walked through the store. I have fond memories of book stores in Southern California in the 80’s and 90’s... this store is as stuffed to the brim, nook-filled, supremely comfortable and quiet as I remember those other places. I was the only customer there the 1hr.+ I browsed, which I suppose explains why it’s closing. The Casa Linda and Mesquite (Paperbacks Plus) stores remain open. Please support small businesses!

What a great used bookstore! I was super pleased with their selection, and the cashier was very helpful with finding books that might be around the store. They also have a wide selection non fiction, which feels like a lot of used bookstores lack these days.

This bookstore was filled to the rafters. There were alcoves and dens filled with reading material and chairs. My daughter found a great math game for my grandson. I found a mischievous little ? book with promise!

Really incredible store in the neighborhood!! Come by for a great selection. Found some older books that I had a lot of trouble finding in other bookstores.

Great selection of books and they're very lovingly sorted, but the guy behind the counter was very abrupt and short with me and had a scary glare everytime I looked over or asked a question... as a petite female this was very intimidating...
