The people at Hillcrest Library are amazing. I am technically challenged and they are very patient and helpful. They are not condescending when asked to help. I have used the library since I was a girl (which no one wants to cypher) haha.. and love spending time there. The employees are fantastic. You do a great job with your hiring.

This library has been the saving grace for my two young boys and I many times on boring afternoons that could lead to fits and tantrums but instead lead to reading and exploration. The staff is always in a good mood and so helpful. I always feel like I should be bringing these people donuts on a daily basis. Please keep up the good work and please keep providing a vital service to the community.

The staff here are exemplary and I would give every one of them a big mom hug. I come with my 6 children and they are always treated with kindness. We do not use the computers, we are just there for the grab bags of little kid books and the big kids love the graphic novels. Libraries are a treasure and this one is a gem.

I absolutely love coming to this library. Mostly because it helps me kill time & because I live very close to this location. They may not have every book you’re looking for, but you can order any book from any location and they will have it sent to your home library. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I love libraries because it’s a peaceful place with free Wi-Fi.❤️ stop by if you are bored and feel like learning something new, or if you feel like diving head first into a new romance novel!

thankfully I found this little Library! exploring the various I84 exits/streets of Boise. It is modern and clean, friendly welcoming staff. For someone new to town, the free Wi-Fi access to use maps, check road conditions, email, local news, and weather is an invaluable resource. Easy 5 stars

Extremely nice facility and helpful staff. I came in to get some mandatory education done for work, and use their computer. I live in Boise and work in Nampa. Now, I haven't used libraries much over the years, so I can't say exactly WHEN it changed, but this library was so different from when I was a kid and used to go more often. The difference is that it WAS SO LOUD in there! I was there for several hours trying to get my work done, and I had a hard time concentrating on some challenging subject matter.
It was so strange. Everyone was talking in normal voices, and kids were running around.
Now, I don't begrudge little children having fun, and I can understand some occasional distractions at a library. I mean, I'm not a monster, but this was FAR from the library etiquette of my youth.
Lovely facility, great resource to have in the neighborhood, but don't go there expecting to get any type of studying done. Quiet is not enforced in any way. Very strange.
