Helpful, accomodating, and very patient staff. Not always (or even often) the case when dealing with this type of government administrative services/offices. I was very impressed with this office in how they dealt with both my needs and those of everyone else who came in despite frustrations with costs, complicated regulations/restrictions, and waiting times (that are totally beyond their control).

This is the most incompetent License Plate office I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I have been in here 8 times to get vanity plates issued for my HAM radio license, and every time they give me some stupid excuse about why they cannot issue them. They claim they cannot add an 0 to a license plate, but Colorado is in the 0 district, and it is even on my FCC license. They have messed up my application on more than three occasions first applying it as a commercial license, and then referring me to an antiquated paper system, and finally just telling me they can’t do 0s on a license. I was even asked to buy an additional emissions test which I didn’t need, at a cost of over $20. When I returned, they told me they still couldn’t help. They got mad at me when I tried to explain how many other people I know in Colorado have done this, and then resigned to give up. I have never dealt with more incompetent government employees in my entire life. I am even a former federal employee, and I have never seen people who are more worthless at their job. It is absolutely disgusting, and they should all be replaced with automated tellers. Even I have waited hours at a time to talk to them. The office had like 16 cubicles, and there is only ever like 5 of them in there even when there are over one hundred people waiting.
I have seriously never been more mad in my life. Larimer county License Plate is awful. I would do anything to get help from another county. All of you can go to **

Made an online appointment to get our marriage license, and was in and out in 15 minutes. Went back to record the marriage certificate and get certified copies a few days later and the process was equally painless. Friendly and efficient counter staff.

Went to get passport photo. They said it was fine to wear glasses. Read the app, said it wasn't fine as I was filling it out. Went back, they said no it's fine if you wear them every day, which I do. I asked 3 times if they were certain, they kept reassuring me it happens all the time. Even said we don't need to take another pic and that no doctors note is needed. So, following their instructions I sent in my pasport app, then 3 days later I get an email saying get saying the photo can't be used because I'm wearing glasses, unless I had a doctor's note.

That should tell you all you need to know about the competence of the people working at this office. Afterall, it is government, so what can you really expect?

Due to your organization getting a new computer system, I had the pleasure of sitting in the Loveland office for 2 hours to be told I needed to call to get my registration information input into their new computer system before they could issue my plates. I was told the call center is in Fort Collins, and this review is directed at the call center alone. I had to call several times, as whoever was answering the phone hung up on me, after I had been on hold for 20 mins. When I did get through, Stephanie started our conversation with smart mouth comment after smart mouth comment. It was uncalled for and rude. If I don't ever have to call in again, it'll be too soon.

The staff there are so friendly and kind. However their government carrier guy lost an envelope with 8 marriage licenses in it. One of them being mine. I’m not sure how the heck this is even possible. With a 30 day deadline with our employers to turn in a certified copy of our marriage license to get on insurance.. this is quite frustrating and really unbelievable.
