The meat market of this store is absolutely fantastic! and the store vibe makes you feel like you are in Mexico. The butchers play ethnic music, livening up the atmosphere. All the employees are very courteous and helpful too! This is my go-to when I need some items quickly. No huge parking lot or lines.

Like an old time neighborhood market. Their meat counter has good products at reasonable prices, they have ice cold beer and they're quite friendly and accommodating.
I stopped to get some groceries on the way home one day and came up $2 short. At that time they wouldn't accept a credit card charge under $15 so I offered to put my stuff back and run home for the correct change. The clerk told me it was fine, He let me leave owing them $2, (which I promptly returned with). Who does that!?

Lots to choose from in the market getting basic essentials to fun little Nick nacks. I love the selection in the butcher shop as well. I've only been here in the afternoon and nights so I haven't seen the bread but it's always empty or nearly empty and I think that speaks volumes itself.

Great little market for getting fresh produce for making salsa. They support local farmers. Employees are very helpful, courteous and bilingual.
They Have a basic meat department with most items prepared right in store for takeout.

One of my favorite 'Mom & Pop' Markets (Family owned). Great place to get meat fresh from their market and an authentic Mexican Meal from their Menu. Eat in (limited seating) or Out. Nice selection of Beer & Wine!!!

Always new things to discover here at La Placita and at other small businesses and eateries in the complex. I'm always pleasantly surprised by the variety on the shelves.
Though what it has is very good, I wish La Placita's produce department had more variety. The butcher is quite helpful too.
BUT I wish they didn't sell so much junk candy to kids. (How do I know they do? Candy wrappers are everywhere on curbs in nearby neighborhoods.)
The staff is always friendly and helpful! It's a pleasure to go there!
