JOANN Fabric and Crafts

Update: I had a VERY ODD EXPERIENCE TODAY at JOANNS. Around 2:30 today 12/3/24 I paid for my items and left but had a stranger come out of their store directly to where I was parked. He had a phone in his hand. He wanted to take my cart away. In 25 years I have never had this happen to me before at Joanns. He was a white man, middle aged, in orange golf cap, Tron T-shirt, and glasses. Was it because the elderly lady in front of me in line asked me to hold her cart briefly so she could find her phone in her car? She came back in the store an in line. I don't know that lady. I looks like being nice to stranger got me followed outside for my empty cart. Weird world we live in! ‐-----‐---------------------------------------- Great deals all over the place. Some of the people here are polite. Quality with items is never a question. However, the wait in line for fabric cutting and checkout is long. The clearance rack is still kind of expensive in my opinion and they really need to hire more people to help the current staff.

Repeat issue at this store... Went in to grab some fabric. Several people waiting, which is fine, but only one person helping customers while two others at each end of the cutting table rolled pieces of fabric on existing bolts of fabric. Never offered any customer any assistance. It would have cleared out the line efficiently and quickly. They know customers have additional questions other than just asking the person to cut so many yards. Why not staff to assist the needs. The extra staff working in that dept and not jumping in to assist the wait time always amazes me. Especially because they don't even acknowledge help is needed as they ignore everyone. If management is in support of this, you really need new mgt.

The employees are so self absorbed it takes over an hour to pay. They have an snarky attitude and talk among themselves rather than engage the customer. Did I mention one cashier and 15 customers in line. It will take a very long time for a simple purchase. Be prepared

Carmen in the fabric cutting section was very helpful in helping me find the ribbon online that was currently out of stock at the store.

This store is a reason JoAnn is in financial trouble. The JoAnns in Sierra Vista, AZ closed. It was an amazing store, clean, organized, inspiring and customer service beyond words. When I went to this JoAnns I expected the same. I live 1 1/2 hrs away. I have an upholstery project I wanted to buy fabric for. When I arrived at this store and entered, it had a bad odor. As I walked through the store, not very long after it opened in the morning, I saw boxes stacked haphazardly around the store making it hard to get around. When I went into the restroom, it was disturbing how filthy it was. Then I went to the upholstery fabric. I could walk through a little of it, but the fabric along the wall was blocked by boxes stacked approximately 5 feet high for about 15 feet long, blocking the whole section of the upholstery fabric and beyond! An associate asked if she could help me, I explained I wanted to look at the fabric she kind of shrugged like there was no way that was going to happen. She said she would get her manager who didn’t come back. I left without making a purchase or any plans to return. I truly don’t understand why this company would close an amazing, successful store and keep a dump like this one open!!!

Hey Jo-Ann Corporate: give more people jobs! It's bad business to have two people working the entire store--one cashier and one cutting table clerk. On a weekend. Sadly this seems to be the state of affairs across the retail market despite record profits for many companies across the board. The employees here were great. Hire more!

First time in this place. Took awhile to find what I was looking for. Not crowded at all. All kinds of good sales going on. Lady working the register was really nice.

I’m crafty so of course I love this store! I went in for just a glue gun and some glue sticks and they were giving away all the spring and summer stuff if you made a purchase. I got these beautiful wall hangings that were retail $70 each for freeeee! 2 of them! It was so awesome!
