Awesome little music store!! I can’t believe how much stuff he stocks…from guitars to keyboards and drums to strings, picks, drumsticks and even sheet music. The store is laid out very aesthetically with everything easily located. Again, selection is huge. The atmosphere is tidy and welcoming and Jimmy is about the most personable guy around. Wheelchair accessible everywhere and parking is about what you’d expect for downtown Durango. Do yourself a favor and shop at Jimmy’s!! You’ll be really glad you did!

Jimmy's came through big time for me as a working/touring musician. Alex, the instrument tech on site, installed a new bridge, adjusted the sound post and put new strings on my upright bass in one afternoon. Jimmy's had all this in stock which was so clutch as we were moving out of the area for more gigs that we did not have to cancel, thanks to Jimmy's. Everyone that worked there was so nice and personable. They are friends now.

I’m brand new to guitar, and I bought a used one. I came here for an issue with one of the strings buzzing. They told me about how to humidify the guitar and suggested restringing it. A week later and the guitar is all set. They could have totally sold me on an expensive or unnecessary solution. Instead they helped me out. I’ll gladly be going here for my guitar needs in the future. Good people.

We stopped in on the way through town to pick up some trombone slide cream and mouthpiece sanitizer. This is a very attractive store; well maintained and good lighting. They have all of the expected accessories for a student in band or orchestra! Very friendly staff.

Jimmy’s music and supply is an absolute essential piece of a small town filled with a plethora of musicians. I have frequented Jimmy’s store since as far back as I can remember when it was Katzin in the mall which shows his dedication to this community and its musicians. Stop by buy some gear as it’s a wonderful atmosphere!

I was in town officiating a wedding and realized the venue didn’t have a microphone stand. In a panic, I found Jimmy’s store on Google and was waiting out front when he opened the door - a mere 3 hours before the ceremony. Fully expecting to shell out some money to buy one (and later figuring out the logistics of getting one back in my carry-on), I was offered the option to rent one. This was a very welcome surprise and I jumped right on it. Not only did Jimmy’s save my behind that day, but made the couple’s special day go off without a hitch!
