Iconic Magazines

I absolutely loved this place. They have a wonderful magazine collection and they also have some books. The man at the register was very nice. They have good prices. They are also a convenience store. I highly recommend checking this place out

Cool concept, flawed execution. Now: I understand is Downtown Manhattan and the space available… it is what it is… But. Having a store branded as Iconic Magazine I expected to see a cool concept, not a random convenience store (pretty sure it’s useful) + magazines on the side… Not a chair/couch/area where to have a look at the magazine themselves ? Fairly cramped if more than 4 people. Then, of course: they can’t possibly have all the magazine in the world… they mostly lean towards artsy stuff.

This is not just a magazine store, it’s also a little market! There’s a wide variety of magazines including uncommon artsy ones. To be honest, they seemed overpriced from what I saw. Many were not priced, which was frustrating since it’s off putting to have to ask what they cost. I haven’t bought a magazine in a while though, so what do I know. Most importantly, the whole reason I came to this shop was to use the CoStar Astrology machine. It was hard to find any information about it other than TikToks from Summer 2023. I wish the shop had shared that the machine was no longer there, since that’s why I was there in the first place :( Finally, I wish that they would open at least one of a stack of magazines in sealed plastic. Some of these magazines have very vague covers and I have no idea what’s inside without opening them, yet I don’t want to be the one to remove the plastic.

Cold brew on tap! For $2!!!!!! They adopted this new concept of having cold brew on tap instead of the standard coffee shop $4.25 cold brew. This place is doing it right. I love this concept and hope it is all over New York and Brooklyn soon. Cold brew tasted good and had enough caffeine to keep me going as tour guide this weekend.

A good deli and news paper magazine stand. This store is busy and they serve fast. Some fresh food ? served, some food they prepare in front of the customers. Location of s important, very hard to find roadside parking ?️, but there are some public transportation available. Bowery Subway station minute away.

Wonderful shop with great people behind the counter. I often get my BEC here while browsing some magazines. Great way to start the day. Thank you!
