I got attacked by bedbugs all over both of my arms at this hotel. See picture. No mention of it in their reviews so I thought it was safe. Nope. The hotel is very rustic which was fine but the floors are extremely noisy.

Love the ambience of this old place! Tons of character and it has all you need! Grateful for the microwave in thecommon area. Wish there was a mini refrigerator for those staying in the European style rooms. Comfortable bed and cozy space. Loved our stay!

We stayed in the Painted Desert Room(my boyfriend had stayed here once before as well). This beautiful old hotel is a gem if you can keep an open mind! Great atmosphere, creaky wood floors, wonderful decor! Our room was clean, everything worked properly, bed was comfortable, cute outdoor patio to sit and relax and its within walking distance of a brewery and the Moose Cafe (which both had great food and friendly staff!) Would stay here again!

Absolutely wonderful experience! Owner was so kind and thoughtful. Gave us some good tips on things to do while staying in town and shared a lot about the history of the hotel and of the town. She clearly goes out of her way to give you a special and unique experience. The rooms were clean and the beds were really comfortable.
We stayed in the boarding/ European style rooms and it was splendid. Great option if you're looking to save some money, have an immersive historic experience, and don't mind walking across the hall for the bathroom/shower. The baths are clean, very private, and nice. They're not "communal" style like at a rec center or something. You can lock the door and have privacy. If this style room doesn't fit your taste they also have larger rooms with their own private bathrooms.
Keep in mind that this is a very unique and very old (1906) but well renovated and well kept hotel, so people managed back then with slightly different standards then we have now. If you're looking for a standard, boring, and expensive experience there are chain hotels down the road in the ski towns. But keep your mind open and give this wild west gem a try! You won't be disappointed.

Lovely old hotel. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable as we traveled through Kremmling. This was a fun stay and we will happily repeat when traveling through again. Nice town too! Yes, the building is older. It creaks. But we had no problems with excess noise. Maybe I sleep hard or maybe people were just respectful of each other - everyone we spoke to was kind.

Really disappointed. I reserved two rooms about a week before my visit. I came to check in at the hotel, only to find no one around whatsoever. They supposedly have "contactless" check in and leave your key and receipt in a key nook with your name on it (how easy to take someone's room?). Well, there was nothing there with my name on it. I called the number on the big sign that said to call or text if assistance was needed. I called three or four times, left voicemails, texted and waited. ||After about a half hour I left and went out to dinner. Still, no one called or texted me back. I went back after dinner and still, no one was there. ||We ended up getting a room in the hotel down the street.||The next day, still no explanation, no text, no phone call... nothing. The reservation had even been confirmed through email a couple days prior.||What gives? If you ask me, this place has gone down hill since I stayed there two years ago. Also, with people living in a car outside the main door and no management on site, what could possibly go wrong?

absolutely terrible communication by hotel staff; I was told there was a code to enter the front door, then was never given the code. I called and emailed many times with no luck. I arrived and there was no lock on the front door.

Room itself was nice. Communal bathrooms were fine.

This unique, vintage hotel (built in 1906) is a refreshing change from the usual sterile, modern accommodations that chain hotels offer. Each room has a β€˜theme β€˜ or identity that is very clearly described on their website along with information about shared and private bathrooms. We reserved the Casper Schuler room, #121, with a private bathroom. The room was cozy, homey, and very comfortable. The bathroom was small, but, it was built in 1906, so that wasn’t a surprise. We heard occasional, muffled sounds but none at a level that were disturbing. The contactless sign-in was very easy to handle and we appreciated the true to time period furnishings in the lobby. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this one-of-kind hotel and small Colorado town.
