My husband and I stayed here one night since our puppy was having surgery and we live several hours away. Unfortunately, he had some complications, and we had to extend another night. The front desk staff was very helpful and was able to extend us with no problem. The best part was the information was evidently passed on to the housekeeping staff since we didn’t have them banging on the door that morning. Breakfast was decent both days and provided a wide variety of options. The room was clean and we appreciated the fact there were two sinks in the room. The one significant downside was how hard the bed was. I couldn’t sleep at all the first night, and only a little the second night. My back was killing me as was my husband’s. The mattress needs replacing.

A warm welcome can make all the difference. Our welcome was businesslike and effiicient but lacked a personal touch. The Diamond Elite status was not recoginized. I had phoned the Diamond Elite customer service line after making the reservation to request an upgrade to a queen suite. I was told that my request has been noted. However, on check-in we were given a standard queen room. I asked for an upgrade to queen suite but only a King was available. The King suite was very spacious and we decided to use the sofa bed. Bedding was brought to the room and we had to make the bed ourselves. I like the state-of-the-art TV with ability to connect to my apps and devices. THe breakfast attendant was kind enough to make a bowl of oatmeal especially for me when the oatmeal pot was empty. I slept very well on the sofa bed and my traveling campanion raved about the comfort or the king bed.

I have spent over 200 nights in 2024 for work at the Holiday Inn Express in Montrose and the staff, the rooms, the ability to relax, a hot breakfast each morning are all great! From check in with Taye Marie and Chasity, to breakfast with Pamela, and a clean room each evening when I return are wonderful! It offers an ability to explore the area and return to a quiet spot in town, south of downtown, and away from the airport where the other hotels are located, south the noise of planes is lessened. On a heavy traffic day, it is still <10 min to airport, and having quiet time has been also important. Holiday Inn Express in Montrose for the win!

I have stayed at this HI location multiple times over the last 4 months. The rooms and common areas have always been very clean, mattresses very comfortable (my preference is firm and I was not disappointed), and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Taylor Marie and Chastity were especially great to work with at the front desk. The only negative to report is the milk served at breakfast, which has a funny aftertaste. I brought this to the attention of the management and they listened to my concern and are investigating. Housekeeping does an excellent job as well. Definitely a great place to stay if you will be in or near Montrose, CO.

This was our first time to stay in Montrose. We will be back when traveling to Carbondale. The room was very large and parking was easy. A grocery next door made it easy to restock for our trip. The staff recommended a list of restaurants. The beds were very comfy. Next time we will book a king bed. Breakfast was good including the coffee. Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP was close by allowing us to visit for a few hours.

The hotel was welcoming, cookies and cold water at check-in! Staff warm and efficient. The room was spacious and very clean...especially the bathroom. The breakfast was a complete, HOT breakfast. WOW! This was one of my best hotel experiences ever. Very impressed!

Tay Marie is one of the best ladies we have dealt with . Tay greeted us with a smile and a really big smile this hotel has a nice vibe to it and all the guest are pretty pleasant. I have told my friend that work up here to come in and stay and enjoy the hotel. Thank you

We stayed here for a week for Christmas 2025 and it was the best decision ever made! The entire staff is super sweet, accommodating, and amazing all around!! It is the perfect location in between all of the cities around. Holiday Inn Montrose you guys rock! The only thing I would recommend is softer beds
