Stopped by Hays in Johnstown to grab a couple items. Went to the register to pay. Their was no barcode on the guacamole i grabbed so the cashier called to have it price checked a lady appeared less than 15 seconds later and said you probably dont want this its $16.00. Not sure how she got to and fro the back of the store to the front so fast. The price on the shelf said 6.99. I didnt argue. We also got a large jar of pickles and a few other items. When we checked out the cashier asked of we wanted a receipt i said yes but was not given one. Not the first time this has happened but didnt think ot would matter. When we got home my daughter wanted a pickle. When she bit into it she said it was disgusting. I tried the pickle and verified it was disgusting. I tried to return the pickles today. Its been 4 days. The same teleporting lady was at the service desk. She said since they were opened and i had no receipt she didnt know when we bought them. I asked how i was supposed to know they were bad unless i opened them. She said i cant do anything for you. This is the only time ive had a bad experience with Hays but its enough for me not to go back. I said id start shopping at Woods instead and she said good luck with that. Theres nothing worse than dealing with customer service people who look like they're miserable while at work and seem to thrive on telling customers no.

Hays Market is a special place! Always carrying very unique products. They're meat department is above all others in quality and pricing! Friendly' and professional is delivered by all employees. Love love HAYS MARKET!:)

NOPE! Too expensive. I needed 4 things.. Milk, cheese, eggs and mayo. At checkout it came to $31w/tax. Are you kidding? I looked up in shock and said "sorry, but no thanks". Drove up to Soopers.

Parking lot is frustrating, they have a very limited selection with very little to offer for those with food allergies. Pricing is higher here than other grocery stores, likely due to smaller business having to survive the big corp. Their floral department is probably the best I've seen in any store. The staff has always been very friendly.

Absolutely the best I couldn’t find something I needed and she smiled and walked me right too it! The produce is always fresh and last longer when I get it home than any other store prices are fair
And the deli is great just wish the deli had more no salt items

Everything you need with a small town feel. I'd rather shop here than big chain stores. I got such great and friendly service while I was there.
