This was a very clean place. My issue is the $75 non refundable pet deposit. I have always gotten all or most of the pet deposit back. I understood the gal on the phone to say that I would get my pet deposit back if the room was clean and undamaged by my dog. Due to this, I will never stay at a Hampton Inn again. Free money for Hampton Inn ๐Ÿซค

Nice property. Clean with a decent price. Desk Clerk Karlena was very helpful with advice and information. Fast WiFi and great tv with HDMI connections. We stayed in Room 113. Close to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park just 15 minutes away.

Easy access to Montrose Airport. Breakfast was typical, everything was clean, well stocked, and in good working order.
Most notable was Kathy the front desk manager. She is the epitome of the word 'Hospitality'. Cheerful, gracious, going above and beyond to make sure guests are comfortable and relaxed. Aside from standing in and pulling a double shift she was training a new receptionist. She never missed a beat when it came to her guests well being.

We had a very early check out at 5am, and Carlos was so helpful. He had hot coffee ready in the morning for us and offered me a tray to use to take the coffee to our room. Thank you, Carlos.

The staff was truly amazing from the shuttle driver to the front desk!!! There was still coffee in the afternoon!!!
The rooms were large and cleaned very well, but the AC in my room was a little weird!!!
Cold , warm, cold, warm!!
If you're not going on a planned trip, there is Nothing to do in the area!!!
Nothing!!!

Very clean and modern with an excellent staff - but it's an expensive dormitory. The rooms have a desk, one desk chair, and a bed. There is no couch or lounge chair. A second person will have to sit on the bed. (There was a lounge chair at the end of the hall next to the ice machine.) The only microwave is communal in the lobby.

First the positives. The room was clean, the breakfast was good and the staff were polite. Now the negatives. When we walked into the room the AC was going full blast and it felt like we were in a meat locker. We turned the thermostat as high as it would go (80) and it was still blowing cold air so we turned the system off and opened the window. Next, the room had only one chair so one of us had to sit on the bed. Then there was no microwave in the room. We have been traveling for just under two weeks and every hotel we have stayed at (some costing 1/3 of what I was paying at the Hampton Inn) had a microwave. Then I tried to get on wifi and got some screen saying I needed to join Hilton Honors or I might be charged for the wifi. I was already a member but saw no way to enter my member number so I went to the desk where I was told โ€œJust disregard all that.โ€ So why even have it and cause extra aggravation when trying to get on the wifi? The next morning I headed to the fitness center to walk on the treadmill but my room card wouldnโ€™t open the door so I had to round up someone to let me in only to discover there was no treadmill. I canโ€™t remember the last time I have been in a fitness center without a treadmill. In my opinion, this hotel was average at best and way overpriced.
