Honestly, as much as I hate to say it, because I pick Hampton Inn over all other hotels, I had to get a refund and leave. The concierge was very friendly and gave a great first impression. It went downhill from there... when I went in the room, there were clumps of dirt on the floor and some bits of plastic trash. I pulled back the sheets and the bed was dirty...hair everywhere and stained sheets. The bed linen looked like it had not been changed in several stays. It had a "not fresh" odor, to be polite. I have always had exemplary cleanliness from the Hampton Inn franchise and was utterly revolted at the state of the room I was given. Corporate needs to do an audit of this location and see if it can be brought up to standards. Or I, along with many others(no doubt), will start using a different hotel chain. I had to leave and go to a Best Western, which offered great rewards, friendly service, and above all, a clean room!

I wouldn't recommend this place, and I don't do that often. I really try to see beyond the small struggles that businesses have, but here... Wow! Starting with the "assistant manager" who was vocal about not being manager but trying to move into that spot. Well, his poor attitude and lack of hospitality is definitely keeping him from rising up in rank. He also acted put-out every time we spoke with him, and it was frequent due to all the problems we were having during our week long stay. Starting with the room not having a fridge or microwave like it said we would. It took 2 days and finally Amy and Kyle were quick to drag a fridge right into our room. Thanks guys! (they provided the best customer service out of all the staff we talked to). Then the business center computer and printer was broken, so we had to email the front desk every day to have them print our work papers. Next, the breakfast was horrible! The first day the asst manager mentioned their food truck hadn't come so they got whatever they could from Walmart, and it was obvious. Even every day after, the food was exactly the same, no variety day to day like a real Hampton Inn does. The "fake" eggs were constantly out, the hash browns tasted like cardboard, the waffle iron was caked with old burnt batter, there was no non-stick spray for it, no syrup, never any oatmeal and their "hot water" for tea, was Luke warm everytime, like it was from the tap. The lobby/dining area had a TV or 2, but not ever on and there was no music playing or anything. Just silence. Not warm and welcoming by any means. The indoor pool and hot tub... broken. Cleanliness? Sub-par. There was an old band-aid in my shower when I first arrived and still never removed when we asked for our room to be serviced. And every ice machine was broken on every floor. When I asked the asst manager about it he told me the 1 on the first floor that usually works keeps going out, but nothing about getting it fixed. He also told me that the owner is selling the hotel, so "she isn't putting ANY money into this place". And that is apparent. We frequent Hilton properties often and this location should be taken away from the brand, it's a disgrace to the Hilton name. Small details were overlooked, like the sheets being put on inside out, and not fitting fully, so would fall off the corners immediately and other things I mentioned above. This was the worst of all our Hilton / Hampton Inn experiences.

Hallways and stairs haven't been vacuumed in what looks like months. There was blood on the lampshade. A friend staying across the hall was checked into a room with no linens on the bed, trash in the trashcan and spit in the bathroom sink. Several people waiting to check in for over an hour and no one working the front desk. Many had to find other accommodations because the rooms were not clean and ready.

Poorly ran. Upon arrival there was one person holding down the fort. I felt bad for her but she had to run the desk and clean the rooms. Like come on! Where is the leadership and the accountability. Nothing against the front desk associate. She did what she could. Definitely better leadership needs to be present to hold the workers accountable. As for the rooms soiled towel was in room 110 and the a.c. wasn't working. Furthermore the sheets were stained with whatever nonsense was on it. So just be on the look out when booking your stay here. We checked out early due the room not being up to par, but we got our money back. So service is great but everything outside of that is poorly managed.

Do not stay at not this hotel. Let me preface this by stating I book solely in Hilton family properties and stay on average roughly 60 nights a year if not more in hotels. We booked here because we were visiting the Royal Gorge.

I had booked 2 rooms for our family of 6 under one reservation which confused the front desk person but eventually figured it out. Upon entering the first room, I found out the room was already occupied with someone was sleeping in the room and we immediately left the room. We went into the second room and found the room to be in disarray. The security lock was missing the latch, there was no soap and no towels. The TV stand was also broken and the phone was not operational. After going downstairs to tell the front desk about someone being in our assigned room we were given another room. This room was disgusting, the sheets and chair were stained, hair on the bed, again no towels, the thermostat had all of the buttons pulled out. After seeing all this I went downstairs to checkout ask for a refund. The assistant manager was able to honor this request. I asked for an invoice to show a $0 balance and was given the folio of someone else with all their personal information.

We were told the reason for the poor rooms was a new housekeeping company and the reason for broken security latch was they were undergoing renovations (which I didn't see any evidence of). We ran into another customer who seemed to be having similar issues.

I rarely write negative reviews but this place absolutely blew me away.

Had an amazing stay! The staff are awesome, very helpful and just all around great people. The rooms were neat and comfy, breakfast was great and the gentleman at the front desk goes above and beyond. I will definitely be staying here again soon!

I like to try to look for the best at the hotels we stay at. Well, I can't say to much about this hotel that's good except maybe the location. It really needs better management in taking care of the property and hiring people who are welcoming and available. Both the morning shift and evening shift employees acted as if they had better things to do and wished they were somewhere else other than working there. Breakfast was only cereal. The sign lights and parking lot lights were not lit when we arrived at night and we thought the place was closed. The lobby was not clean and had food on the floor and the hallways had not been vacuumed. I couldn't tell but it appeared as if our bed sheets were not changed out. I agree with another review. DO NOT STAY HERE UNTIL THEY FIX THEIR ISSUES!

I cancelled my reservation immediately after checking in. The hotel was filthy. The front door was broken and the hallways hadn't been vacuumed in probably months. There was a foul odor in the elevator, and a disgusting stagnant film over the pool. I was given the key to the wrong room, and accidentally walked in on some poor woman, which made me feel unsafe if the same were to happen to me. The employee working the front desk was not on the clock. He was there to file a police report because his paycheck had been stolen, and was still working to get people their amenities that were absent, such as basic towels and even a trash can. I wish I remembered his name, because he went above and beyond to work while not even on the clock. Unfortunately for your company, I don't believe he will be working at that location for much longer. I immediately asked for my reservation to be canceled and then went to stay at the Holiday Inn, which is actually clean, professional, and they even offered a discount for us and another group that canceled at your location. Apparently, they have a significant number of parties that cancel from the Hampton and that doesn't surprise me. This was the most surreal experience at a hotel, and I've stayed at dives in the middle of nowhere that were far less disgusting than this property. I doubt I will ever stay at a Hampton again, and I hope my cancelation doesn't incur additional fees, because I will absolutely take that up with corporate. This was the most shameful and disgusting excuse of a "hotel" that I have ever seen, and Hampton should be embarrassed that this location is affiliated with Hampton.
