I had a great time walking the trails during Labor Day weekend. The morning weather was perfect for a hike. Then I stopped by Carmel Valley Coffee for some chai tea and a pastry. Perfect morning.

Nice mountain hikes, with the river to cool off! Pretty nice park, just make sure to stay on the trail, and away from the ticks.

Nice trails. The waterfall is a nice feature when it’s active. I love that it is pet friendly: it even has a water trough and hitching post for your non-equidae pets.

Free parking, lots of trail variations. The climb up to the panorama just past Snively's ridge is worth the elevation gain! Excellent park for a few hours of hiking, beautiful when it's misting, foggy, overcast or clear and sunny.

Trailheads are all generally well marked, download the trail map and you'll be set.

A great place for a hike. Flat and gentle routes as well as some seriously steep and challenging routes to the top which are not for the feint hearted

Update- seasonal entrance is open now (Apr-Nov), some families and dogs ? enjoying the stream. Dragonfly couple were spotted too.
Very nice park ?, both easy and difficult hiking with a large variety of trails. Lupine loop is the first trail to the left after crossing the small bridge. Open entrance is now near the bridge, actual park entrance is currently blocked off. Handy tip in the map for the waterfall which only runs after major rains.

Amazing area. There are a lot of hiking trails to he done here. The trails that I saw were well paved and big enough to be considered family friendly in my eyes. There is even a place to dip in the Carmel River. Would definitely research what trial you want to take before you go.
