The manager Berta, and the staff are rude and incompetent. Twice I sent in a check to renew my plates and twice they sent the check back saying I paid the wrong amount. They put a letter in the mail on Dec 28th, knowing I won't receive it until January. They then use the excuse that the fees changed in January. Why send a requested amount if you know it is wrong? Today I realuze I don't have the renewal tag so I stopped in and now I am late and have to pay a late fee!!!! I mailed the first check over two months ago!! Why can't the motor vehicle office figure out how the mail and the calendar work? First she said they returned my second check, then she brings it to the counter, obviously it was still in the office and they hadn't returned it to me. Thd letter had a third amount on it. Then they asked me to pay yet a different amount. FOUR DIFFERENT AMOUNTS!! Why can't they give customers the correct amount? Why do they treat the people who live here so rudely!! They just can't admit a mistake and treat citizens with respect. Worst office ever to deal with. Do your renewals on line or go to a state office!!
