I had high expectations for my stay based on reviews, but unfortunately, my experience did not meet them.

Breakfast: The breakfast service was disappointing. On a Sunday morning, by 9 AM (with breakfast ending at 9:30), there was very little food left, and what remained wasn’t fresh. A hotel should ensure that food is stocked and available for guests throughout the designated breakfast hours. Breakfast should be later on a weekend morning as well.

Room Cleanliness & Safety Concern: Housekeeping was not up to standard. My 5-year-old daughter’s stuffed animal fell off the bed, and when she went to retrieve it, she found a bottle of nicotine juice under the bed. This was extremely concerning, as it resembled candy and could have been dangerous if ingested. The area under the bed was clearly not cleaned, despite it being an easy-to-check spot.

Room & Bedding Issues: I booked a Studio King, which was advertised as sleeping four, but realistically, it accommodates only three at best. The pull-out couch was extremely uncomfortable—even my 5-year-old chose to sleep on the floor instead. I took a photo of my 16-year-old son on the pull-out bed—while he’s not a small person, that bed is not sufficient for anyone. I inquired about switching to a double queen, but due to the way I booked, I was unable to do so. As a Bonvoy member, I typically book directly with Marriott, so I understand the limitations, but if a room is available, it would have been nice to have an option to switch, given the inadequate sleeping arrangements. I was offered a larger suite that could fit a rollaway, but it still required using the same uncomfortable pull-out couch, which was not a viable solution. I had to get an air mattress to make the last evening workable for any kind of quality sleep.

Customer Service: Overall, the service could have been better, particularly in handling guest accommodations and ensuring rooms are appropriately stocked and cleaned.

The biggest issue was the safety concern with the nicotine bottle in the room, which should never happen. I attempted to find a way to email the hotel directly but was unsuccessful, so I’m sharing my experience here. I hope management addresses these concerns to improve future guest experiences.

Positive: From the warm welcome I received from Staff, to the gals making the hot breakfast in the morning, to the housekeeping staff ... I felt comfortable, welcome, and well taken care of. Most importantly, the bed and pillows were amazing. Super comfortable! Negative: No, I can't think of anything!

Totally fine and acceptable room for the price point. There were some areas that were not receiving routing cleaning (dust on the top of the TV, hard water stain in the sink).

I stay at hotels about 100 nights a year. This has to be THE BEST Fairfield breakfast. Clean hotel, friendly staff- highly recommend.
