I had an amazing experience giving birth here. My midwife and nurses made the whole experience feel very safe and they made me feel heard. They constantly communicated that they were there for me and what I wanted in the labor and delivery process. My midwife Lily and my nurse Gabby were both amazing!

I had a large herniated disc that brought me in due to numbness of all of my private areas/right buttock, and right thigh. They took me serious when I had pain and gave me proper pain relief. They got an MRI for me. That did take a few hours but anywhere else probably would’ve taken longer. They saw my scan and immediate wanted to transfer me t Memorial for surgery. My nurses, medics, and doctors all had great bedside manners. One of the best ER visits I’ve ever had. Zero complaints. I felt very taken care of and listened to about my symptoms.

I just wanted to share my experience with the incredible customer service at Evans Army Hospital. T, Sam, and the other nurses were absolutely fantastic, keeping us informed every step of the way during my spouse's surgery. T really took the time to explain the aftercare before discharge, which put our minds at ease.

Dr. Dowd was also amazing—he not only performed the surgery flawlessly but kept me updated throughout the process. The next day, he personally checked in on my spouse and arranged for bandage changes, which was a huge relief.

We can’t thank you all enough for your support and care! Highly recommend this team!

DO NOT GET YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS FILLED HERE IF YOU DONT HAVE TO!!!!
If I could give them 0 I would!😄
Not only will it take them 2+ hours to fill it, it’ll take you asking 3 different window clerks to get it done. 3rd times the charm though, unfortunately didn’t catch her name but one lady was nice and just filled it herself after she heard the 2 hour waiting time.
One clerk was so unbothered to do his job he glanced at his screen and just said they’re working on it.
It’s actually such a sad excuse for a pharmacy. I’ll be getting any prescription filled elsewhere or not at all. (THAT BAD)
Also I NEVER write reviews.
This was so pathetic and so sad to see elderly and sick people being forced to sit for hours to get medicines I had to let people know. Even if it saves just one person the time and effort.

Overall, I’ve had pretty good luck here, just be aware that manning shortages impact them just like everywhere else. Everyone seems to really try to do their best to help you and mean well. I’ve had a few specialty appointments, a procedure, as well as have gone to the ER a few times as well. It’s been clean every time I’ve been there. Not always super fast service but that’s military healthcare for you. You need to stay on top of them at times to call you back or do whatever followup action items are needed.
I’ll agree with others that the pharmacy is ridiculously slow. So I fill my prescriptions elsewhere if I can.

Hospital ER triage nurses are judge-mental, don’t believe what you say, and will constantly argue with you. Me and my wife has been through 2 miscarriages and the third time, we thought she was pregnant because of a faint line in her test and her OB/GYN told her even with the faintest line to come to the ER. We come to the ER and when we go back to triage the nurse instantly said he sees no line, called my wife a liar, and didn’t believe her at all and judged her and tried to send us home with another possible miscarriage. I would give zero stars if I could.

Terrible pharmacy system. No one ever answers the phone, and when I got there at 4:35pm today, I was told that I'd have to come back another day since "the ticketing system closed 5 minutes ago." All I wanted to do is prepare the prescription for pickup for another day. This would have taken 10 minutes as it usually does, but nah, not today.

We have the technology to let people verify and schedule prescription pickup. There can still be a final check at pickup time. We should use that technology.

Sometimes free healthcare costs you more in the end.

If you have an emergency, don’t to this ER. I was sitting in the waiting room for more than 4 hours after my stay was taken. This is ridiculous. If they need more employees, they need to get it because this is by far the worst military ER I’ve been to. Fort Hood is bad but might be better than this one.
