East West Bookshop, Mountain View

This is both a gift store and a metaphysical bookshop that is definitely worth a visit if you’re in downtown Mountain View. I found lots of stuff I was looking for and even things I wasn’t looking for. The only thing they were out of was tuning forks but I bet if I lived in the area I could come back and they’d be in stock. There sound bowls were very well priced as were their Oracle decks and candles. The store owner was very kind to let me keep all my things at the counter until I checked out. The surrounding area is on a closed off street with lots of cafés and restaurants if you wanna make a day of it.

Amazing, helpful people and a great selection of books and lots more. Came here to find a baptism gift for my nephew and family and found a great assortment of children's books. They even have a beautiful place in the back to meditate at.

I love this shop! I no longer live in the area, but enjoy visiting whenever I have the opportunity. There is something here for everyone! An expansive array of metaphysical and spiritual goods. Everything from books, crystals, candles, jewelry, statues, and other interesting items. A huge selection of tarot cards and singing bowls.

Not my cup of tea but they had a lot of interesting and unique pieces. I spent a good twenty minutes in this place and it was fun to look around at all the crystals and knick knacks. They have a good selection of tarot cards if you’re into that thing and a large array of books on many subjects. Overall, a good source of information but pricey

This place is great. The staff is really helpful and friendly. I've been here a few times, and enjoyed my visit every time, and No doubts their book collection is nice, but it's not just book store. It has many other interestingly unique gift items too.

I have lived in San Jose for 18 years, every weekend we go to a different zones of the Bay Area and one of my favorites is Mountain View, where we go for lunch, spend the afternoon drinking coffee and matcha ( me) and working online. Last Saturday after lunch my husband wanted to enter this store looking for a specific incense. What a nice surprise. I went through all the corners of the spacious place, I noticed that they have a yoga area with cushions, bowls, and another calm area in the back. It is full of religious, spiritual, decorative objects, stones, an immense variety of new used spanish books, clothing, hats, backpacks, crystals, bags, jewelry, all kinds of incense, the classics and other new scents that I use daily to meditate (I do mindfulness) The staff is very friendly, help us to find what we were looking for and we end buying beautiful unexpected things that I need =D I highly recommend this place for a nice pause in Castro Street.

Has a really good energy, vibe. Nice for browsing or reading or meditating by the indoor bubbling brook.
