A news organization that lazily goes into the police department every day to report on arrests. They practically copy and paste the police report, piggybacking on the hard work of police and detectives to make a buck with little to no thought about how their stories affect the real people involved, especially victims. I used to read their news, but I am definitely turning to more responsible reporting.
They use the excuse that they report on all of the arrests because it's a public safety issue, but the police and court system are already involved because that's where East Idaho News gets the information from in the first place.

They take advantage of victims of crimes to pad their pockets. They will unapologetically share any detail of any crime or tragedy, without thought of how victims and their families feel about it. Irresponsible and pathetic. Find some real news, this is no better than gossip.

They do a lovely job with the Secret Santa program every year as well as the Feel-Good Friday segments. The recent coverage of the Vallow trial was top notch journalism. I live in a large metro in another state and long for this type of coverage. The EIN team seems to help bring the community together.
