Very very thin walls. Small and older room. You can hear and understand conversations from neighboring room. Pet fee is excessive…. $50/stay!! And they’re doing very loud constructions next door until late and starting early morning with no notice from the motel.

Loved our stay in the Durango Lodge during our stay of Thanksgiving week to the point that we extended our stay by one night. Location is perfect, it's just at the end of the main street so literally minutes from all the hustle and bustle of downtown but just around the corner to where you don't get a bunch of foot or car traffic coming around. This helps keep the noise down around the hotel which is nice BUT do keep in mind you are steps away from the durango train station and you can clearly hear the whistle and chugging as it comes in and out during the day and late evening. To me, that's a perk, but just an FYI in case that bothers you. Parking is included so you can leave it and walk all around downtown. Tonya and Kyle who were the front desk hosts were always so kind, respectful, and helpful in making sure we knew of the amenities available and making small talk about the area and things to do. The rooms were clean, spacious, and the Keurig, fridge, hair dryer, make up towel, and cleaning rags were small nice touches that make a big difference. Housekeeping is upon request and we didn't request it during our stay except to top off only the things we needed like K cups, laundry bags, tissues, etc. A nice touch is they have medium size trash cans at the end of the hallways so you don't quickly overfill the small ones in the room. Will definitely be coming here next time we are in town.

Superb location, comfortable and clean downtown hotel. Nights are surprisingly quiet and the blackout curtains helped me sleep in. Extra $50 per stay for dogs is a little spicy if yoo are staying just a couple of days.

Very close to the train station- within walking distance and right in town so you can walk the streets and shop. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Building was older but very well kept. Bed, pillows, and comforter were all clean and very comfortable. Air conditioning worked great. Wonderful water pressure in the shower. Everything clean with flowers on the decks and parking lot. Hot tub and pool worked and were open. To-go breakfast was stocked well- not a 5 star meal, but some nice options for on the go. Would stay here again.

We came to Durango to ride the Durango/Silverton train and shop/ eat in downtown Durango. The location was perfect, right in the center of everything. Once you are there you will not need your car until you leave. The staff was excellent. The afternoon clerk spent a lot of extra time helping us plan our activities for the next few days. The hotel is modern and vary clean.

First the AC would not work and the room was 78 degrees- way too hot to sleep. Eventually the staff fixed it but it interrupted our evening. The next day we returned after a long trip on the Durango Silverton train to see that our room keys no longer worked and a new set needed to be provided. Then Another trip to front desk because our room was never cleaned! . Front desk did get us towels but our trash was never emptied . The breakfast area was stuck in a tight corner by the front desk where only about 4 people could fit so we had to carry our breakfast up to our room via the outside stairs . We were very disappointed with the lack of service provided and no compensation offered for our multiple inconveniences.

Front desk staff was excellent. Room was clean and affordable. Parking was tight, but okay. Close to the train station. I used to live in this area years ago and it sure has changed. You can walk down Main Street & Train from here. Very, very touristy now. But...cool.

Hotel is clean but dated. |Breakfast was minimal poppets , fruit bars, cereal. No microwave in room it is in lobby. |Fridge in room and Keurig. |Would not recommend for Holidays due to high prices and extreme tax fees. |Only good is can walk downtown and train depot. Parking in town is difficult but convenient for hotel guess.
